Our defense is usually strength and it will be again in 2024. We lost a few defensive stars, but Clemson knows how to coach up the young ones .. and the guys coming back have gotten some good time on the field.
A new coach for the D-Ends is kicking tail and taking names … and we may see some of the Freshmen getting good time on the field like XT did his freshman year. The O-Line will benefit from practicing against the tougher defense.
The big question mark is the offense. If we consistently play like we did in the 4th quarter of the Gator Bowl, we could be really special. Maybe we just tell Cade it’s the 4th quarter all game long. 😄
We’ve upgraded our WR group with incoming 5 stars and I expect both of them to show out like Tyler Brown did this year … and Mafah is our guy running the ball. We need a backup to give him some recovery time in the game. If our O-Line can get the QB another second or two, that might settle him down in the pocket.
So, my prediction is that we are ACC Champions, in the expanded playoffs, and win a game or two in the playoffs. If we have a bye the first round, it could be a very special year!!

ridiculously different team to team. 1 loss and chances being in top 2 for ACCG will be very slim. Lose 2 and chances of being top 5 is probably 50/50 at best if you are applying bs tiebreakers. I wouldn’t bet either side of that.

Still I was as surprised as most to see Clemson lose to average Duke, Miami, and NCSU teams this past year ...
When the Tigers beat Notre Dame, the team roster had been shaken out.
When Dabo starts each season by ceding starting positions to upperclassmen (e.g. Sheridan Jones, Justin Mascoll, Will Putnam, Mitchell Mayes, Beaux Collins, etc.), there is always a risk of losing early games and team confidence. Understand all good Clemson men even some leaders mired with average talent.
And with some upperclassmen recruiting classes being too full of misses, the top underclassmen (AW0 and BM in 2022, and P-Woo, Terrell, TB6, TJ Parker, SL14, KB36) need to get some early looks like Sammy Brown, TJ Moore & Wesco hopefully will in 2024.
I like Clemson earning Top 10 status by 2024 year-end after tough opener vs. Dawgs.

Any chance those upperclassmen are started because they know their assignments and the younger guys don’t. Allowing them to use the entire playbook. As the season goes on and the younger players play and practice they figure it out.
