Fubo tv

For those of you dumping Youtubetv for Fubo tv, thinking you are hurting Disney, well you are not. Fubo tv is also owned by the mouse. Their goal all along was to drive customers away from Youtubetv and google and towards any of the Disney owned streaming services. Youtubetv has the most customers and Disney can't stand that.

So here are the facts

Approximately 22% of YoutubeTV users have switched to “another streaming service.” YouTube TV has a reported 10 million users. Disney has over 175 million subscribers to one or more of their streaming services. There are over 270 million Americans with a streaming service. There is no way to know if the 2.2 million who left YouTube recently went to Fubo or any other Disney stream. There’s no way for the public to know that. So in the grand scheme of things, Disney has certainly lost more subscribers than they’ve gained. And the number they’ve gained, doesn’t amount to a drop. And the money that drops represents is nothing to them. It’s a rounding error.

Youtubetv has approximately 10 million subscribers, hululive tv has 4.3 million subscribers. Disney wants those subscribers.

I have Direct TV satellite with streaming as a back-up. If the signal is lost from the satellite it automatically converts to streaming. I know that the cost is regular price but I like to be able to PUNCH IN my channels rather than having to scroll thru like streaming does. At any rate once enough folks go to streaming they will raise the price to satellite or cable anyway.

My decision to drop YTTV for Fubo...

is all about being able to access the channels that I enjoy watching. Nothing more, nothing less. I'd prefer to stay with YTTV, but if they can't provide the programming that I want to watch, it's time to find another streaming service that can. Their ongoing spat with Disney is not my problem.

Well, you ..like most of us chose YoutubeTV to watch sports. I switched because of NFL Sunday Ticket. However, I much prefer CFB over the NFL ..take away the ACCN and the ESPN’s - that wasn’t what I signed up for and not what I’m still paying for. If not resolved before the end of the regular NFL season, I’ll switch. Paying for ESPN Ultimate now for CFB .. the one time $20 credit doesn’t fully cover one month of ESPN Ultimate ..

Paying ESPN for CFB, the cost for which isn't fully covered by the $20 credit from YTTV.

It’s the devil I know. Well, so is Google. I just went with Hulu after the free trial with fubo ended. Google think they can survive without Disney but they cannot. They have lost 2.4mil subscribers in the last week.

The deal breaker with fubo was price and lack of multi view. Not to mention Hulu is cheaper with more content. ESPN unlimited, Disney plus, and Hulu for $64 a month. No hidden fees either. What they quoted is what I paid.

We have to face it, Disney owns the content most people watch. They won, I reckon. Google is the lesser of the two evils. Regardless of my carrier, Disney still gets paid for it.
