Whether he is better or not is debatable. All I know is DJ was 22-6 as a starter at Clemson and Cade is 9-6.

Cade played Tennessee in a bowl compared to ISU for DJ.. DJ loss to the Coots and Cade hasn’t. Cade had a bad game vs Duke, Georgia and Tennessee all other games were very close loses

Anyone who can’t see that Cade is a significant upgrade over DJ must have their eyes closed. I said before the season that it would probably be game 3-4 before Offense really started to gel. I still think that will be the case. By game 4-5 I think we’re humming.

DJU was on path to win a Heisman after the games vs ND and BC when TL was out with Covid. That off-season he signed a huge NIL deal with Bojangles..... he was never the same since. Peaked far too early.

All of us are having some fun at Bret’s expense and it does help us deal with our own misery over the decline in our program. I hate to confess that I have a very uncomfortable gut feeling that if DJ is still the QB when we play them….he will have a stunning performance like he did when he played ND in South Bend.

Brett- DJ will make some throws but he is too inconsistent to be a good College QB. He looks worse this year than last year because he is on a team that can’t run the ball. FSU didn’t run the ball all that well last year. It also did not help that the TE could not catch the ball.
FSU also can’t stop the run so they have to go for it on 4th downs because they can’t afford to give the opponent extra possessions.
I am afraid the Noles have more to fix than one position.
The Noles playoff hopes are all but spoiled with two conference losses this early. They are good enough to upset a team or two. I hope it is the Canes or the Irish.

I have no ill will towards your team but see a lot of weaknesses just as you have pointed out. DJU is a major liability. The wide receivers outside of Poitier are not very good. Number 84 should bever be allowed to step on the field again. How many passes did he drop? Six?? D-Line got pushed around by BC and Castellano ran wild on your defense like his head was on fire and his ### was catching! (Little Charlie Daniels reference there).
Best of luck the rest of the way but I think it might be a rough year. Who knows! I would smile a bit if y'all took Miami to the woodshed!

Do not fall into the desperation of hoping DJ will turn the corner any day now. I hoped for the guy throughout an entire season never questioning Dabo's resolve to see the kid succeed. Toward the end of the season I reckoned Dabo had played him long in every game for two reasons.
The first that he would turn the corner but then finally I resolved that Dabo played him so his stats would look attractive to another team. I believe that is true and that Dabo felt DJ could and would win at least as many games as his backup and that he didn't want to damage the kid's ego by benching him while knowing that college football was all the kid was ever going to have.
Norvell bought a stat master. After Clemson he went to a conference which is noted for not playing defense. His stats look great but it's all circumstantial.
