cookout and the player backs out at the last minute without notice, at what point odes the staff go ahead and begin focusing on someone else? I remember in the past one or two guys suddenly not bringing family to campus when expected (not necessarily the cookout) and the writing was pretty much on the wall. We continued to be in denial and ended up waiting too late to go after a player at that position.

I know some had othr obligations and notified staff well in advance, but I'm talking about the ones that, as of Thursday, were supposedly coming. At what point do we start giving a lot closer look at alternates?

I hope we cash in on the natty with a great class in 2018. 2017 ws a great class, but is was a small class due to scholarship availability (just our luck). 2018, also not a large class, needs to be the big windfall from the championship.

It is obvious the Kirby Smart is having a banner recruiting year at Georgia in spite of them going 8-5 in his first year and losing to Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt. But the advantage of being the state school in a state with that much talent has always been there for Georgia. They have always recruited at a very high lever, but rarely win conference or big bowl championships, let alone national titles.

You sort of answered your own ?.

It's one thing if they let them know ahead of time and were professional about it. If they were expecting them and they just didn't show, Dabo is full of grace but he knows that may not reflect as the type of player he wants. It's one thing to not show another entirely to not give notice and we don't know if they'd I'd or not. Also, again Georgia can keep winking in the recruiting and we'll keep winning on the field. Dabo has taken us to six straight 10+ win seasons and two national championship games in a row winning one of them. I'll put my money on him. And if smart is building his the wrong way (no knowledge that he is), it may be successful for awhile but it will fall and fall Big escort service or not.

I think we all just got our feelings hurt a little. Especially after so many were counting on good things coming out of this event.

But bailing after saying you were coming is not a good character trait. perhaps the coaches know more about this than we do. If so, they need to respond and cool things down a little. JMO

I didn't mean comment on any recruit. Just some positive news. That's all.

IMO Smart is not so much

Jul 22, 2017, 10:34 AM

Smart and UGA, are being butt raped in recruiting their own state. Look at the State list of top 100 prospects. UGA is not keeping the homegrown talent home. yes they get a few and good talent elsewhere but Georgia is packed with talent and they're not cashing in.

Well a lot of big in state guys haven't committed yet.# 5 trey hill I think they get. And Adam Anderson #8 Instate but crazy part is #8 Instate guy is ranked top 50 nationally overall. Smart is building a good team but so dis richt and he never did anything there. For a school that hasn't won a title since 1980 idk why they are still considered elite? We had to claw to get called elite again, they just annually win 9 games and get great recruiting classes to be called elite bc they sec propaganda crap

Or never

I imagine it depends on the player, the reason, and the coaches.

The bigger question is why do people fret so much over little things.

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”
