Had it in the bag the whole time and couldn't beat that type of experience for his bench players

A learning experience for the coach.

Yes, all the way around. But great experience for the entire lineup. That should keep them engaged.

LOL, hasn't learned anything since it's been here on tnet. LMAO. Especially where the caps unlock button is located.

Bonehead decision putting too many backups in too soon, but we were able to pull it out. We were lucky to win that.

With an 11-2 lead? Dang if our reserves can’t handle that lead we need some better reserves.

I agree and I understand his logic but nearly wholesale changes and some of our best hitters and fielders out?

He wanted some more experience in close games. Yesterday and today gave him that. Great strategery for later in the season. And think of the work the pitching staff got.

I remember when Wilhem ,In the aac tournament I think, had a big lead and sent the bullpen players to the hotel to rest and team came back to beat us.

More like Bakich's BooBoos

Bad choice to not keep Knaak in for the possible no hitter. He'd earned the chance with powerful pitching and his pitch count was only 81. If he fails then it's on him. Now it's a W with sour taste because of a poor bullpen and poor fielding.

Bad choice to pull starters with PHs. I agree the silver lining is experience when stressed, but all the players and coaches have to have a sour taste from the near loss when they were ahead by 10 in the 7th inning in the face of a no hitter. I sure do.

But it was a sweep and that's sweet even if the ending was pretty SOUR.

I did watch the game. My comment stands. It was Knaak's chance at a no-hitter--a rare thing. And a big lead.

Knaak gave up a hit. They pulled him after the no hitter was done.

Knaak was in even after the no hitter was over and they were beginning to hit him...I get the change that inning.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They had two hits in a row when Knaak was pulled, IIRC.
