are like in real life? I mean, like some of the people who post here. Do they ever chill out and enjoy life... like family, friends, hobbies, activities, etc? Or are they just angry all the time? I just cannot imagine living like that, or wanting to be around anyone who does. In my lifetime... JFK, LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and all the others. There were always people foaming at the mouth and screaming that it was the end of American life as we know it.
And guess what. Nothing happened. Doesn't that all seem a bit silly?

I agree with you, BUT the internet has heightened the spread of conspiracy theories, I believe.
I mean, my Aunt was sure that that Joe Dimaggio had JFK killed, but she only told family and friends. If she had Qanon to access, we'd be seeing posts about it on TNet!

have all contributed to the spread of conspiracy theories and whatnot. Anybody with a keyboard or phone, and that's virtually everyone on the planet... now has a big fat microphone sitting right in front of their face 24 hours a day. And the world is their audience. It's no longer just a few weird dudes listening to some obscure radio talk show at 3am...
That's why I've ditched Facebook, twice in last few years. Political crap. I just can't take it. And it's disappointing to see a couple of my old friends who are knee-deep in it. Constantly posting memes and chit, and arguing about it. But, I'm feeling some pressure to get back on FB, because people ask my GF... Is he OK? Are y'all still together? He never posts anything about you guys any more...
So I feel it trying to suck me back in. Gotdammit.
edit: I guess the point is... I'm glad I haven't spent my life being consumed by politics. That's kinda sad. I realized a long time ago that I can't really change anything. You're one of 7 billion people, one grain of sand at the beach. So you may as well just live your life and roll with the punches. Go to work, raise your kids, have fun, enjoy life, and just ignore all that other noise.
