the Texas HC in waiting Will Muschamp. He brings a lot of energy and I thought it would be a big time addition to our staff. My inside sources tell me that Sark is on the hot seat after losing to a low tier B1G team in the playoffs, so Will probably didn’t want to jeopardize his standing as the next man up in TX. Thank goodness Dabo had a backup plan, and while we unfortunately didn’t get Muschamp, he still made a decent hire.

but it was interesting that they came from the Big XII and immediately dominated the SEC. And to your point, they did it with Sark, who is good for a couple losses a year against lesser opponents, like they did this season against UGA. Other coaches Sark is comparable to are Lincoln Riley, Lane Kiffin, James Franklin, and Dan Mullen. But he is still the best the SEC has at this point in time.

Everything is cyclical. The best collection of coaches currently is in the ACC with the likes of Dabo and Marcus Freeman…plus the guy that won all those Super Bowls with the Patriots.
The ACC is where all the talent is too. Where else can a guy go from undefeated at a power house like FSU and only win 2 games the next season? The ACC schedule is an absolute grind. That’s probably the real reason Muschamp turned us down, who wants to scheme against ACC speed every single week?

It’s definitely not unreasonable for the ACC to have 7 or 8 teams in the playoffs next year
1. Clemson, obviously 2. Miami with an SEC champ at QB 3. UNCheat pairing with Belichick, albeit the season will probably be vacated a year or two down the road 4. ND because we have such strong conference leadership they’ll convince them to get in on the ground floor of the ACC renaissance 5. SMU because they know how “Pony” up the dough 6. GT because this season they’ll win in 9OTs 7. BC with another top caliber QB and a former NFL coach who has never ruined a QBs career or destroyed a team 8. Stanford gets in because their new football GM brings them Luck

Not yet, that's where Jim “the expert negotiator” Phillips will step in and get the W for the ACC. He most definitely has a spine, and most definitely is not a sniveling coward incapable of even asking for help to his car with his groceries while shopping at Publix because of his limp wrists, certainly not!

but that’s because Sark lost his typical head scratcher games to UGA, but they had by far the best SEC showing in the playoffs. And even then, they barely beat one of Clemson’s worst teams in the past 20 years.

The most fortunate thing for Clemson is that Dabo never allows Muschamp to enter his mind, and thank God for small miracles!!!!

Thank God. Who wants Will MusChamp at Clemson other than a Coot fan. Dabo would never let than man coach at Clemson.

Moistclumps? You must be an ultramaroon to believe a Coot failure could do anything successful at Clemson besides lose. Moistclumps is a cancer that can only thrive in Jawja's steamy climate.....

I know you're joking, but Muskrat is an incredible defensive coordinator. He coached top 5 defenses at LSU (#1 defense), Auburn (#6 in total, #1 in the SEC), Texas (#9, but #1 in sacks), and Georgia (#1). He also coached a very aggressive, solid defense at the Dolphins and had a top 5 defense when he was head coach at Florida. Even the Coots had okay defenses. He's one of the best living defensive coordinators, but is just a terrible head coach. I would have been tickled to get him (it was NEVER going to happen), though I do think Allen is a great DC too, and I think Allen's style matches Dabo and our team very well.
