WR observation

Remember a few yrs back when we didn't have any shorter, shifty, speed guys but had such an abundance of tall wrs that we even had Overton playing slot wr?

Now, the ###### is flipped and we haven't had a big wr threat (ala Williams, Hopkins, etc) step up in several seasons. If we can get a big outside wr to step up and consistently make plays this season, it would open things up alot for the rest of our shorter passing game, along with letting up on the defensive cushion for our stud rbs.

Lots of good folks on Saturday...WR's looked pretty good, even a couple I've never heard of...some can sure run...RB's look good...QB's need to work on timing...a little late on some throws...LB and DL looks better than advertised...OL did OK...still need a tough slot opening up the inside...but TE's seem to be able to handle it...We need a little more polish on these shoes and we'll be back to the dance!

To add to that I would love to see Shipley in the slot with Mafah as the number 1 back backed up by Thomas and Adams.

That would good, but Shipley does not have the best hands on passes past 10 yards. He doesn't have the flex in his body needed or the hands to be a serious receiver threat downfield.

Shipley in motion would definitely affect the defense. Maybe he should change his jersey number to 3.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

They've done that before but if I remember rightly, they were both lined up as RBs.
