responsible for its level of play. If they were playing a pick-up game on a lazy afternoon, would they give up like that?
They knew what was happening. Where was the leadership? Where was the personal responsibility of making good decisions? Where was the internal drive for excellence?
It's a shame...it really is.

The guy calling the game said one thing that really stood out to me. Well. two. 1)Get the ball to your best player...JB. 2)JB is just standing there with his arm out like the Durrant that played for OKC. That's not going to work.
If your best player isn't trying to get open, how do you get him the ball?
Then again...when you lose as many close games as this team has you get that, "Oh ####...here we go again feeling too." And the next thing you know you're trying to do too much. (Thomas jacking up that 3 when they were up 14)
Brownell has his faults..... But really... who would want to come in to this job? What name coach would come? More importantly...who would stay if something else better opened up? OP lost a game in the NCAA tourney as a 5 seed when leading by 18. And people still love him. Not much different than what this team did tonight. IMHO.

We need a young coach that can recruit and coach players to win. What young coach would not want to go to a place that gives a coach 7 years and a huge buyout to achieve absolutely nothing.

If they respected Brownell, they would have given their all. It's a sad day for Tiger basketball.

In the post game interview on the front page, he takes responsibility...

at the very beginning. It's fair to evaluate this performance for what it was, but he did take responsibility rather than blaming players.

He said earlier this year that Clemson would win when the players on the court want to win....he is the coach that decides who is on the court! We can be better!

In his post game interview, he accepted responsibility not once but TWICE!
Please do better.

Then he goes on to say how Eli Thomas and Avery Holmes didn't play well. It was no need to say that. Particularly about your outgoing senior in Holmes. No one's buying your blind allegiance to all things Brownell either.
