This is really interesting. And he may have just made a very good case as to why Clemson will eventually leave the ACC for the B1G.

Clemson is going to have to pony up $75 Mil in 2030 to get out. The ACC will be fourth tier in terms of tv revenue by then and at that point B1G/SEC will have a ridiculous guaranteed playoff spot monopoly ( if the CFP still exists at all)

You cannot have a competitive athletic program competint with the B1G and SEC if you are a member of the ACC.
We must get out, and get out quickly, or plan on being a tier 2 athletic program.

Cliff Notes: The ACC is doomed over the mid to longer term thanks to SEC/BIG1 media dominance. Clemson needs to get out of the ACC ASAFP or risk being doomed along with it.

We already know the ACC will look different after 2030. We will not be in the "left behind group".
Good chance VT will be in the leftover ACC or leftover Big 12.

Assumes a new B12 media deal will equate to the ACC. Also the ACC deal is variable and has beaten the previous projections. Thirdly this is the average. Clemson is expected to be well above the average so while there would be a significant difference, it’s not the amount he is projecting. Still agree Clemson is likely in a new football league by 2030 or the SEC or B10.
