about how Cade should start immediately, we should really open up the playbook next week, etc. FURMAN is next week's opponent. LA TECH is the opponent the week after that. Against those two, I would run about the same offensive plays we ran tonight. With the exception that we need to find some receivers who can catch what is thrown their way. Cade's time will come. It may come this year. But, I didn't see DJ do a single thing tonight that should cost him his job. It may truly wind up as the Kelly Bryant vs Trevor Lawrence situation, but it ain't there based on one mop up drive.

Actually, I love our qb situation. If DJ can up his game a bit over what he showed in the second half, then we'll have two excellent guys leading the offense. Want to see more explosiveness next week.

What, we saw that very same DJ in 13 games last season, and it never got any better that what you saw tonight. Some of act as if it be nice to DJ over the success of the team and all that talent that we have choking on their words bc they have been told that it's the right thing to do!!!!

Finally a sane response!! Eric Mclain is doing nothing but stir the pot on the "HUDDLE" he needs to calm down or the CU coaches will shut him out--he acts like he knows more than the coaches, like a lot of these posters. Let the coaches do their job.

Yeah, Eric M is over the top with his take on the QB situation.
It was a little odd.

i humbly disagree. Drive 1 he fumbled when we were moving. Drive 2 he took a terrible sack after 5 seconds in the pocket. Drive 3, etc. etc. By the time he was making decent throws and receivers drop 50/50 balls he has everyone off rhythm. Say what you want (I wanted him to be 2021 DJ tonight and said he would be), he is not going to be better than he was tonight. We can not beat Miami and may not beat FSU with him. The faster we transition (which I admit will be NC State game in the 2nd half at best), the better off we will be. We will not stand a chance in post season without this happening. Time will prove this as fact, so I will be here when it happens.

I agree with 76er. Cade’s time is coming but DJU will lead the team while the younger guy gets his reps and establishes himself. A good win tonight..not perfect but we’ve all seen CU not look dominating in early games. The future is bright!
Go Tigers!

But it's clear who the faster, quicker, more mobile and more accurate QB is. Those factors have relevance at the QB position. Kirby won the natl championship by playing quicker Stetson over JT Daniels last season. But I hear you.

Cade should be the starting QB, he is the QB for what Clemson does. We have watched DJ trip over loose grass on the ground for 14 games, and myself, and most of Tiger nation have seen more than enough of that to last for the next 20 years. In comes Cade Klubnik with his very first D-1 action, and he had the only passing TD in the game.
Tajh Boyd, Cole Stout, DW4, Trevor Lawrence, and it surely seems that Cade is better than DJ from the one series we saw him in. DJ is a Clemson man, and I'm sure he is doing the best that he can, but his best just isn't good enough to win a NC, and it is NC's that we want to win, and that is why all the talent we have come to Clemson, and one play player shouldn't be allowed to stand in the way of winning a NC even though DJ is a very nice respectable young man that thought himself that he could play at this level, but the facts are he can't, and better QBs than DJ has lost their job at Clemson, and it shouldn't be any different for DJ, and I'm sure that he knows that Cade is better than he is, but he is going to play as long as Dabo allows him to play, he ain't going to pull himself out and tell Cade that the job is his, and I don't blame him for not taking himself out the game, that is Dabo's job, that is why he is getting all those millions a year to do, make the right decisions for the team and Clemson FB, Period!!!
Correction, DJ did have a passing TD, but I still say that Dabo should get Cade ready to lead our team!!!this

DJ had a TD pass in the first half.

….cause I watched Ukelele make a few good plays (I was as shocked as everyone) and still **** the bed over and over. 3rd year on the team. What has he done to cost him the starting position?
He took 4 quarters to get into the type of rhythm that Klubnick had in one series.
I’ve seen enough of DJ. There will not be any magical change.
