The ads are so long, you sometimes forget what you are watching.

I swanee, what is the reason Pharma needs 1-2min ads. Pretty sure I quit listening after about 5-10secs. TV shows and movies barely keep people engaged for the 10min between ads, how can they think 1 ad will keep ppl enganged for more than 15sec?

How many on here have ever gone to their Doc and told him/her you wanted a specific drug you saw in an ad.

The side affects they rapidly mention at the end of the commercial usually sounds worse than what I have going on.

I don't want to incriminate all doctors, but doctors are part of the down stream flow from big pharma. Pharmaceutical rep call on doctors to push their products, doctors put their patients on three or four of these drugs. Doctors are awarded handsomely in many ways.

We are the most overly medicated country in the world.

Please tell me how that works? I guess I missed out on the gravy train except for some dinners with a lecture and some crappy pens.

You do not get paid for prescribing medications.

I did not say doctors were paid cash. I have first hand information of lavish trips with amenities galore. The requirements were minimal on the recipients part to meet the conference/meeting for the vendor to write it off.

Maybe you are the exception to the rule.

Big Pharma is part of the deep state. The largest lobby organization is big pharma and they have awarded billions in payments to politicians regardless of party. In reward for this the politicians big pharma gets to place their people in the FDA. Moderna was just given 176 million dollars to develop a bird flu vaccine by the government. This is not the government's money it is our money. Until we have honest and decent people in Washington to represent us as the founders intended this cycle will never end.

May God save the Republic!

The only commercial that was worth watching was the Capitol One with the Vikings. Some of their antics were epic. Funny though I never got a Capitol One card.

Am I the only old girl that remembers: If you were sick/broken you went to the doctor and sometimes he would prescribe medicine to help you through it. Today, folks watch TV and go to the doctor and ask for a certain drug to help them through it. Times they are a changin

One of the best: Progressive - Dr Rick "Becoming your parents" (saw the new one about "The backyard cookout".
One of the worst" Jardiance - They're on their 3 commercial ad with dancers who can't dance!
Another notable "worst," that usually appears around dinner time - "Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea," especially "The lineup one."
