Depends on your age. Many in their 30s enjoyed it as the songs were popular during our teenage years. Not sure why race is an issue with this either.

I’m white and had no issues with it. Many halftime performances have been performed by all white performers. I tend to like country and rock music as my preferred genres, but enjoyed Usher’s performance as it brought back memories from my teenage years. I guess to each their own.

My money would be on it being pre-recorded as it's practically an open secret that the instruments aren't typically plugged in but I still thought it fit the vibe well.

I don’t think she was really playing. Red Hot Chili Peppers showed us all about 10 years ago that it isn’t a live performance. They unplugged their instruments and continued to rock out showing the performance as being fake. Gotta love that they keep it real!

It wasn’t close to being the worst. I’m 59 and I liked it but I love R&B and always have. My mom who would have been 82 years old in January would have liked it because she liked Usher. It’s not just an age thing. I was born the last year of the baby boom but I don’t feel like a boomer!

My wife and I lived it. But of course we were in college when those songs were highly popular so it was our club/house party music. Brought back some good nostalgia. My wife liked that dancing too. Not a fan of Alicia Keys though she has some sweet pipes and the red piano was pretty rad.

satan halftime show or worse than Janets wardrobe malfunction . There have been some pretty bizarre halftime shows over the last few years. While this may not have blown your socks off....it seemed reasonably family friendly, at least. Can't exactly call it the worst.

My daughter and I now have videos of three very distinct generations dancing in different locations - my over 60 husband, her mid-20's boyfriend, and my coworker's preschool children. I have to give Usher credit for appealing to a variety of listeners.

I like Usher. He's a great artist and performer. I HATE song medleys. Better to do 2-3 songs in a great manner than to do 5-7 in a drive-by format.

I had more of a problem with the Post Malone performance. It was terrible. The players looked like they were being chemically castrated as they listened. It was so funny and bad. It was such a stinker that I think it took away from Reba's performance. She looked flat following that.
In regards to Usher, I don't listen to that genre of music. I know dude is a legend based on his record sales, etc. If somebody that was in to him at and that genre said it was a bad performance then I would defer to them. It seemed the non musical part of his performance and dancing was good if you like that sort of thing. I tune out at halftime and get snacks and things.

Best performance in super bowl hisyory was Chris Stapleton last year IMO.
