Worried, no Tiger 5-Star players signed 2025 but

These schools did according to Bleachers Report:
1 5-star signed: OK, USCsr, Tn, LSU, Tam, UFL, Auburn.
2 5-stars signed: Mich.
3 5-stars signed: Oregon, OHst.
No 4-star signee schools.
And drum Roll, two schools signed FIVE 5-stars: They are ~>>
Georgia with 2nd overall ranked 2025 class..and Texas with #1 overall class.
Saying, Georgia is gonna be in top 5 rankings til we all are old & bald, and the rich get richer while our Clemson teams are gonna be fighting uphill for years to be ranked in Top 10 and going to a CFP since winning the ACCCG isn’t a shoe-in anymore as a conference champ.
Remember that We were mighty lucky to have made the top 12 last year since we were ranked 13th & higher until that greatly needed 56 yarder.
What do you think; Are you worried or concerned about lack of the very best players which we use to have 1 or 2?

Amare Adams was a 5*. Davidson was arguably the RB in the class, we still got quality over quantity in this class.

I like our class though for 2025. It's small, but underrated. We need a strong one for 2026 though. We shall see.

Didn't we sign the 5* long snapper Alex Nocco?  But to your point LBB I am a little concerned. We knew this was going to be a small class, but it lost some luster with the decommits. 2026 needs to be a great class.

Don’t worried. Dabo signed a ton of 3 star diamonds in the rough…no need for the 5 star studs like we use to get. He’s turning us into 3 star U. Just facts🤷♂️

We are retaining great players and signing a highly rated (by avg) class. You’re just just grabbing a bunch of guys who will transfer out after spending a season in that dump. You act like USuC has actually won anything other than accepting a gift from a the better team in Clemson.
We will beat you in the dead roach and make the playoffs again, while you will regress in 2025. Bet me.

Looking at how few players we lost, the size of our recruiting class makes sense. Add in a few portal players this year and we didn't really have room for more. Dabo doesn't over recruit like a lot of schools then ask kids who were offered to leave to make room.
2026 will be an important year though, we'll lose a fair number of players after this season either to the NFL or graduation.

this logic is exactly why we are struggling to compete anymore like we did from 2015-2018. our roster has become bogged down with walk ons and 3 star players that wont make it at this level. when the top schools ate signing 10 -12 more than you year in year out, you wont be able to compete . they just have more margin for error and more talent to choose from.

Not worried at all. 2025 class fills some key needs. Our high retention rate somewhat limited the available scholarship numbers. As others have said, the 2026 class needs both quality and quantity and the coaches are hard at work to make that happen.

So we did sign a 5 star in this class with Amare Adams. The loss of prior commits could be concern but we also do not have scholarship opening yet. Things change with new numbers in Aug

Yes, very worried. In the past, recruits choose their school based on the school culture, coaches, campus, facilities, etc., which gave Clemson a competitive edge.
Today, most highly ranked recruits are making their school choice based on money, not their love for the school/coaches/culture, etc., as in the past.
This will create a challenge for Clemson to bring in those top recruits.

Bill, FWIW our other DT signee (Makhi Williams-Lee, the guy other than 5* Amare Adams), was just named to State of GA’s 5-A classification first team. That is a big deal.
Makhi Lee-Williams was one of those ‘dreaded’ 3* players via the oh-so-always-expert recruiting services. That was before the 2024 HS season came to an end. During his Sr season, Big Makhi had 66 tackles, 20 TFL, and 9 sacks.
ESPN has jumped ahead of Rivals and 247Sports by upgrading Big Makhi from an unknown 3* to a noteworthy 4* DT.
I know this is hard to believe, but maybe just maybe our coaches have an eye for talent. Just maybe …
