I don't mind them other than the "Black Lives Matter". That is racist in itself.

Who cares? Really?
I mean if a school can put a chicken inside a 3/4 zero on the side of their helmet, how can anyone do any worse?
I mean, if this thing goes, anything can go.

I've heard of many people who were blatantly racist and prejudiced, but upon seeing the messages on the backs of helmets and on the sidelines of fields, felt convicted and changed their minds and are now working actively to end racism. That's not true. I've never heard of that happening.

I don't think those messages are there to change the mind of a racist person. I think they're there to encourage people who aren't racist to speak out against racism when they see it. Most of us aren't racist but I think many of us have known people who are and choose to ignore them when they make ignorant statements because it doesn't really effect us. I think letting people know those sort of words and actions aren't acceptable can make a difference or at least make a difference towards the next generation.

I’m as conservative as they come but it really doesn’t bother me. The players grew up in a different era than some of us older ones. It’s just a way for them to try and create awareness and make us think. I’m all for that. I guess if you don’t like it don’t watch. Be hard to resist watching after this weekend. Seems to me the pro game has gotten more like college in last few years. More fast paced

Is this the same as "woke" slogans on the field and the crowd yelling racist chants towards Native Americans. Just saying Kansas City AND FSU.

God has nothing to do with football and Dabo thanks Him any chance he gets, as well as some of his players. DJ points to the sky before every drive, CJ used to bow his head after TDs…
Religion is one of the most divisive things in the history of the man. Do these things bother you or only what you do not agree with? Equality is not a movement. Love is not a movement. Respect is not a movement. Acceptance is not a movement. Thou Shalt Not Judge is not a movement.
Some of this woke movement is BS, but it has underlinings of truth. It is unfortunate some of society is not educated or refuses to listen - on both sides of the fence.
We might as well take all names off jerseys as well. Everyone should wear a dark visor, sleeves and gloves like a Madden create-a-player so we cannot see who the actual player is. We do not want any players thinking they’re actual people with actual thought and beliefs. We need the players to appeal to old white men or they’ll stop watching.

You are halfway correct.
Faith is not divisive and neither is equality.
Where the division takes place is when there is poor delivery in the message.
A pastor or religious person screaming that anyone who does not follow their beliefs is destined for eternal damnation is going to cause a strong reaction in one way or another.
The same is true when people claiming to be activists for equality are either destroying someone else's property or they are putting down another group in order to prop up their group in the name of fairness.
Both of these deliveries are the wrong way to go about reaching people and create a great divide between those who differ in their feelings.
Dabo mentioning God or Clemson players posturing themselves in a way to show their faith is not the wrong delivery.
Placing a sticker on a helmet or discussing previous experiences and a desire to bring people together is not the wrong delivery.
There are two major reasons that people don't like these acceptable forms of expression.
1) The listener has such strong feelings of opposition toward the people pushing the message the wrong way that he or she lumps everyone pushing a certain message to be in the same mold. I think this happens with some of the athletes supporting good causes because they use some similar words or phrases used by divisive groups.
2)The listener has a bias against the people pushing the message and will be against anything that person says, no matter the message. This happens a ton with athletes because people who are not fans of a certain team will find a reason to disagree with those players or coaches. Some coot fans talk negatively about Dabo's religion because they hate everything Clemson and it doesn't matter what the message is.
There are other reasons that people choose to disagree as well, but those two are the most likely reasons that people will speak out against someone who is approaching a discussion in the right way.

Sometimes you have to let things completely break to get to a true north. When enough money stops flowing in then they will realize the errors in their ways that no level of politically correctness can fix.
