I wonder if he Went anywhere for spring break? I remember the year Tajh was projected to become the starter and tnet reported while everyone was gone for spring break Tajh was still in clemson working. I think that helped him out a lot especially with winning over the coaches because it showed a sense of maturity and leadership that we needed that year.

I think I remember reading an article last week that stated that he was Working on his game during spring break. He made a comment that it would have been fun to go off somewhere, but that he knows he needs the work to get the starting job.

Clemson Football, the glory days are here!

Will we ever come to the conclusion, Renfrow is our best

receiver despite being the smallest and one of the slowest. Is it his route - running, quickness, deceptive speed and overall athleticism that makes him so????

I do not think Renfrow will ever be our best WR. This year he is the most experienced and may be the most dependable, but he does not have the size nor the speed to be the best we have. As the 3rd or 4th receiver he will often get open, but on the edge against the best corner of the other team he will seldom be open.
I love the guy, I would not trade him for any other receiver in the country, but he will always be #2 or #3 WR.

Occasionally, the wrong word is used to describe a person, player, etc. Renfrow may not be the 'best' per metrics assigned for such, but it's not a stretch, whatsoever, that he's the most valuable receiver on the team. When your perceived #3 can beat the opponent's #1 cover man, that really, really stresses the secondary. Bama's Fitzpatrick is a solid player...but Renfrow took him behind the woodshed. Likewise with Ohio State's vaunted secondary.

If you remember, the announcers stated in the beginning of the Alabama game that Renfrow would not have success in getting open because of the defender that was on him.
He has beaten some pretty good talent.
Last year, there were no Williams or Cain due to injury and suspension. He still got open for 2 TD's. Say what you will, but these are just the facts.

I am not talking about amt. of talent but this YEAR! He may

be our best receiver despite his size and not as fast...

I remember Bryant from last year. His running skills are great but his passing skills needed work. Hopefully Streater has worked with him to teach him all the throws in our offense. May the best qb win .

Keep the "Swag", Show me accuracy. That made up word will probably come pretty quickly if you can connect with a wide receiver and make good decisions.

I know that I will take a beating here for posting this...just know that I have been a Clemson fan since since mid 70s.
Bryant has not had "swag" at all during his time at Clemson. There is a reason that he was 3rd/4th in QB spot. To stay the starting QB, GREAT improvements needed.

I went back and watched some of Bryants' HS highlight videos. He throws with quick motion, drops back, and even steps forward in the pocket- and connects with receivers downfield for 30-45 yards. Of course you see the athletic running ability. But, if it's that kind of & If this is the Kelly Bryant He's talking about, I can't wait to see this in Spring.

I know a HS coach very well... who is not a homer. His team faced Bryant every year. He believes Bryant to be the real deal.

O Prime: By his film, he looks it. Only thing is, he was playing against lesser competition. He hasn't shown the ability to handle the pressure of the moment yet - at the collegian level. I hope that's what He means by his quote, that He is growing into a downfield passer and playing with confidence as a signal caller. There's a lot of hungry WR talent out there waiting to get the ball. I wish him the best, He's a great kid. I know Cooper can make long-tight throws with a flick of his wrist- impressive, and has taken notes under Watson also. Cooper won't sit for long neither will Johnson IMO at least all the way to Fall, I think the coaches' mentioning other names often, let's you know they are excited to see what these guys can do in game situations. May the best guy win, and win for the Tigers.
