The kid had a incredibly bad game against Wake...the kid was destroyed in the media and by the fans all week....
He came out tonight and wasn't hesitant, wasn't scared to mess up, didn't play conservative....he played with a chip on his shoulder and was out to prove everyone wrong....he did some good things and he over played somethings...
But I seen that bulldog in him that I saw in the greats...
He didn't give in to the pressure...he stepped up and went out there on a mission...
That attitude along with his talent....will make this kid great ..

I agree.
You have to have that "black mamba" about you; especially at CB. Antonio Williams also has it.
We recruit nice guys. DAbo is a nice guy too; but he also wants to win like nobody's business. Some of our nice guys are just that and good students and have the raw talent. But, some don't have that drive that makes them want to: "just bury your #%$ and beat you like you stole something"!
When height/weight/strength is equal - that's the thing that gives certain players an advantage! They want to dominate!
We need some leaders to emerge who want to impress upon the team as a whole that we want to dominate the opponent on both sides of the ball and ST.

I hope so, but right now I can't take him seriously. He got used by Wake repeatedly and his clownish trash talking last night was laughable. Prance around about a routine stop and then wiff a lame attempt at a pick 6 the next play...Come on, man. Time to put up or shut up.

I'm not a big Wiggins fan like some of the other posters. I don't like it all over the board when it comes down to the antics and trash talk by DB's and WR's as well. However, I do like the fact that Wiggins isn't backing down. Even the great DB's get beat, so you have to possess a different mental attitude for the position.
As for the attempt at the pick 6, I hope that he keeps making them. There were 2 guys right behind him to make the tackle, and if the pass was on target then Wiggins would have scored. The pass was to the receivers left enough that the receiver could catch it but Wiggins whiffed. In that case, the risk was worth the reward even if the reward didn't come.
