Clemson storming the field. I had to educate him and the conjugation that it’s tradition that we gather at the PAW after every game whether we win, lose, or draw and whether we play furman or alabama. Anyways GO TIGERS!!!

No ... on this issue, the sensitivity is legitimate. A lie

that is constantly perpetuated and consistently criticized with no attempt at honesty is just wrong.
There are a lot of issues that Clemson let bother them unnecessarily.
This is *not* one of them.

and columnists who cover college football to be experts on our traditions.
Sure, it’s annoying that some still think we are “storming the field,” but they are the ones who look stupid - not us. They are the ones who are misinformed.
I don’t think each comment requires its own TNet post every week, but maybe that’s just me.

Because it’s calling us trashy and classless fans for storming the field on a team we should beat. All while Clemson fans are known to be very classy. It’s basically trying to tarnish our fan base.

And even if it were, who cares what they think? Anyone who follows college football with any level of professionalism knows that we have one of the great fan bases in college football.

Because the media and other teams fans use it as a criticism trying to say we shouldn’t “storm the field” when we beat a lesser opponent or trying to say we need to act like we’ve been there before and that type of thing when it has been well documented that the gathering at the paw is a long standing tradition win or lose and regardless of opponent.

I like this tradition even though I never participate in it.
However, it does open up the opposing team's players and coaches to be treated in an unsportsman-like manner.
Now, if you can assure me that NONE of our fans have ever done such, then I would say that answers all of the outsider questions, but . . .

Change pastors. If he has to insert a college tradition into his message he is off message

So you are calling his pastor woke because he is unaware tradition? You sound insecure and sensitive.

Its all about the speed at which said "storming" occurs

Is it a casual stroll ?
Is it a full out sprint ?
Are people getting trampled ?
That's what you need to gauge when assessing this.

It is mostly trolling now. Media types know they will get thousands of clicks and replies (engagement is the industry term) if they troll Clemson fans about these traditions.

We need to do a better job of spreading the phrase, "Meeting at the Paw". Our social media dept needs to get on this. Just as the phrases, "All In" and BYOG are known as Clemson's this can be too, just need to bombard the air waves with it until it's known.

I have a former pastor (UofSC fan) that used to throw little childish remarks out from the pulpit, trying to be funny, during football season, particularly through the Spurrier era.
Notice I said “former”.

Don’t you think it’s probably time for a 10 minute Gameday story explaining that we always have and always will go out on the field after home games as fans? I mean we called it going out to get chinstraps and sweatbands when I was little. You can use that modern, soft gather at the paw thing if you need to but bottom line is our fans know how to act.
