Why so many BOOs all last night?
May 17, 2017, 9:19 AM

Seems like every called strike against us or called ball against CCU there were an insane amount of boos coming from Tiger fans.
Also a LOT of boos when the catcher was delaying the game, any CCU player did anything that you let a Clemson player get away with (throwing to first, stepping off mound).
I just think it makes us look terrible - I know I will be called out for this but I had to say it. I was embarrassed sitting near some CCU folk. We should be better.

I tend to agree.. Everything you mentioned that got booed

is part of what makes baseball such a beautiful game. It literally is a game of chess on the field.
Now with that being said, booing a blatant missed call, completely understandable. But not every freaking call that doesn't go your way.
Oh and as far as a catcher slowing a game down, or slooooooooowww walks to the mound, it's all apart of managing the chessboard. If you don't like it, maybe bassball isn't for you. Stay home.

Maybe baseball isn't for you... the fans are trying to do their part to influence said chess match.
I wish the real baseball person on this board wasn't booted- jk

One pitch in 10 minutes while their reliever

is warming up is plenty reason for getting booed. If they didn't expect that and got their feelings hurt, I can't say that I care. And whatever the SS said to the ump got his attention that he followed him to the mound and the player kept mouthing to him. I'm not from Philly but know when to boo and when to let it go.

I agreed that was not out of the ordinary - every called ball for our pitcher that was remotely close in the eyes of those umpires in the stands received a chorus of boos though. Every called CCU strike was the same way it seemed. Even up 7-1 our crowd was booing called strikes and balls.

Never been to a coot home game but have seen their crowd in Greenville and you're right. I'd like to look better than their whining #####.

Clemson has a loooonnnngggg way to go to get close to North Carolina, Miami (with a 1/3 of the crowd) or Columbia. I'm talking baseball fans, noise, the music and announcers. Been to those and others, i would suspect Louisville is going to be raucous as well. I'll be there for the ACC championship, will you?
Visit them for baseball or just go to football games and keep your head in the sand.

Not offended at all - certainly not as much as many of you were at my question. Just thought we could look better.
