students have to pay for their admission. They struggle with stress as well. Is there an ulterior motive behind this?

Seems to be another way to take money from kids who can't afford real representation in the finical world.

Are other students making substantial income from NIL?

It's not a charity

Most students who aren't athletes have no NIL market value. I'm not a fan of this company's predatory business model, but it makes sense that they're only focusing on athletes.

Agreed. Has anyone on this bored ever bought anything due to an endorsement by a college athlete? Hopefully no one is still pretending that NIL is about anything other than pay for play.

If you are of the mind that CFB players have marketable skills that deserve compensation, you should lobby for some form of direct payment for those skills, as employees. The fact that the current state requires *pretending* that the athletes’ product endorsements make monetary sense for those writing the checks is a pretty strong indicator that NIL is not the answer.

They say they are taking a risk, but i guarantee you they aren't taking

any risk long-term. On an individual basis, sure, but they will have enough of a margin built in that they will likely profit heavily given enough volume. It's not too dissimilar to warranties and insurance.

I can kind of see the appeal for some families, but it also feels quite predatory. I think it will ultimately come down to just how much money they make off these kids. If the margins are relatively small I think I'm generally OK with it, but it they are completely fleecing these kids it's obviously a completely different matter.
