Is Sammy hurt??? Strange how no reporters ask about him either—seems to have totally disappeared??

Woodazz and B. Carter are playing great for the most part and according to Dabo Sammy Brown had a huge bust on a play against FSU and that hurt his playing time. The coaching staff wants to get Sammy in for meaningful snaps early in the game and not just snaps at the end of a blowout. Sammy will be special for us and it may start next year but we have to have a little patience. There is also a real possibility that Sammy is not 100% physically ready right now due to an injury or a leg muscle that I heard about.

He also had a play yesterday he missed. He hit the running back in the backfield, the running back was as able to break free and run to the outside and picked up the first down. He did give good effort and chased him down after the runner for 6 or 7 yards.

are sitting.
Neither of those have played their way off the field, quite the opposite.
What amazes me is how many special teams Carter is still on. Seems that is where Sammy could see more time

I was just rewatching yesterday’s game and Sammy got onto the field in the first quarter.

Seems like we've been going with 2 LB sets a good bit this season and we've got two very good ones. Browns definitely seeing the field though.

First of all… pretty sure he can see the field.
(not sure what you mean by that)
Also- they put him in on 3rd and short on the opening drive yesterday.
I’d say they trust him, and willing to play him in key moments.

Sammy has been productive for the amount of time he's been out there.
Certainly not a finished product but he's catching on fast.
Maybe get Dee Crayton and some other guys out there and keep building depth.
We are going to need it down the stretch.

He's on the Trent Simpson plan. He's in and around the ball every time he's on the field but he just is not finishing plays yet. Dabo also mentioned he's given up some big plays getting caught peeking. He's going to be a stud once it slows down and he stops over shooting his tackles though. Very excited to see this kid going forward.
