If I could get off work, I would be going. I spend more than $1700 going to the beach.

Another is that money could be spent on other things, like:
-big vacation -investments -paying off debts -giving more to IPTAY this year -charitable donation -buying something nice for spouse/kids

It also depends on a root canal and new tires, That alone has cost me $800 in just the last month and that's not including Christmas, and needing a new roof on the house. I guess my memory will just have to watch in on tv.

We don't have money to blow, but will not miss this opportunity. I've said all along that beating bama in the process just makes it that much sweeter. This is a special season with a once in a lifetime coach and qb... Just glad to be along for the ride.

$320 round trip to Vegas for 4 from Cleveland $320 for 4 nights at treasure Island $2000 for 4 Seats $240 for Fever's Bus
It's the 3k in gambling expenses that make it costly.

Oh no. I've done that, 15 years ago gambled away about 3500 there. I was single then, married with 3 kids now no gambling. To the other poster about the other financial obligations. Roof, I rent ??. Root canal, take care of your teeth better??. I work 2 jobs, and my wife recently picked up an extra job working thur and fri 4:30 to 9:30 only $400 a month but hey it's something. Can't make excuses got to find solutions.

Flying out of gsp is a good but more expensive than dc
Jan 7, 2016, 6:35 AM

I paid $450 per tik through iptay.x2 everything. .me and oldest son. Wife and other kids stay home.
Plus acc champ game plus the thousands I forked out in Miami. ..and...and...and I say dang sports illustrateds. .
Football is very expensive entertainment.
I'm hedging the nc trip by flying in Monday afternoon and flying out Tuesday at 6.

Glad you went to Miami. Plane flights for me were $400 X 4 people. I opted for the $79 Vegas round trip flights instead. I could only do 1 trip. All expenses considered, it is cheaper to go to Arizona for me.

Still fly out of gsp and still cheaper than the other airlines out of gsp... But even allegiant jacked thier prices up for the holidays and they fly off days. You have to stay an extra day or 2 than you'd like. So the cost off the cheaper fair is negated by more hotel.

It doesn't grow on trees. Did anyone read my post. Me and my wife work a combined 4 jobs. It's called working. If your one job doesnt cut it which my main job was not you have to look for alternative solutions.

people say they can "afford" stuff all the time, when they can't. I can't afford this trip (if I could afford it, I'd be paying in cash), but I'm charging it up because I'm not missing it!!!! It may take me all year to pay it off, but that's my decision to have the experience. And, it's just me, so I'm only affecting me.

I live in Singapore... The distance doesn’t bother me, I would fly last minute... However I’m getting married in Hong Kong on 12 Jan at 10:00am.
I can miss it. What are the odds, also due to the time difference, I will get to see abouy 30 minutes before I need to leave for the wedding.
Luckily I have tiger friends all over the world and they will give me updates!
Next Tuesday my time has the potential to be a great day or the greatest day of my life!
My wedding presemt is simple... I need a W!
Safe journey to everyone and be thankful you get to at least watch it.

of your trip. I could only get close (leaving 9th or 10th returning the 12th) if I had a all night stop over both ways in Detroit, and it was still over 2000 round trip. I looked at the packages through Tigernet's link and they were 3200 for a single over the weekend, and 3600 when I was ready to pull the trigger, and that didn't include game tickets. I just got to the point where I would rather watch on TV than spend that kind of cash on a trip in January.

That wasn't my point. A lot of people were saying this was gonna cost thousands and thousands. My cousin thought for him and his wife it was gonna be $4000+. Just not true unless your taking 3-4 people. Do I want to spend 2k no, but I will for this.

Lol lesson learned. Like I said it was more about the people like my cousin being misinformed. Its not a 5k trip for 2. I don't have money just waiting to be burned. That's why I said once in a lifetime opportunity, probably the way most are looking at it.

home and rent prices rising, health insurance goes up every year, medical costs skyrocketing, college tuition out of reach for most, corporate profits and CEO pay at all time high, demographic pyramid for social security going in the wrong direction to be sustainable.
If you don't pay your workers, no one will have money to buy your product.

My cost for the trip to Arizona so far. We just arrived last night in Phoenix and met two groups of Clemson fans already just while we were waiting for our car.
- 20,000 Southwest points for me and my wife in and out of Phoenix plus $5.60 a ticket - $162 to rent a Audi A3 for 6 days - $610 for two upper deck seats (wish we waited longer as we might have got lower deck at a little higher price) - $70 for one night at a hotel outside of Phoenix (we drove out of Phoenix last night) - $100 for two nights hotel in Phoenix
That said, it's on top of about roughly $1,900 paid in Florida. We went to Disney for a couple of days too though.
But it looks like it's gonna be under the budget for me. I planed it at $4,000, but right now it looks like it's gonna be under $3,500.

extra games post-season. ACC champ game was relatively inexpensive. OB was rather expensive, then add on this game...all totaled will cost me around 7kfor 2 people and that's taking the cheap route for the most part.
This is after IPTAY dues, season tickets and tailgating for all home games, travel to Louisville, etc. It's been an expensive year.
First World problems, I know.
