Football plays in rain so why not baseball. It’s just a little bit of rain I don’t understand it.

You ever throw a wet football? Both balls are similarly affected by the rain by being wet, heavy and slick.

Accuracy of a baseball is highly affected when thrown wet based on arm speed alone; football marginally at best.
Also an innacurate football can’t kill someone; So there is that.

Next time you have a chance go try to roll a baseball on a wet infield then grip it and throw it. Made out of a little different material than a football. Plus do you want kids throwing 90 plus mph with a ball that they can’t get a consistent grip on.

Player safety. Especially pitchers. Land wrong and slip once b/c of the rain and it could be the end of your season.

If they fall or slide on the wet and muddy field their uniforms would get dirty and some of our fans would complain about the players lack of neatness.
