Seems like a violation of the USMCA that Trump signed in his first term. Those 2 countries account for 1/3 of all US imports and exports. Maybe Bidenflation won't seem so bad in comparison. American businesses that export to Canada and Mexico will be devastated when they retaliate with tariffs of their own.

You understand these tariffs are tax increases on American companies, right? The importer pays the tariff. Then the importer raises the price the distributor pays to compensate. Then the distributor raises the price the retailer pays to compensate. Then the retailer raises the price the consumer pays to compensate. And there's a little escalation at each transaction.

These are articles about his training history and what they have made in the market. Their returns are nuts, but they aren't alone. It's easy, they know what bills are likely to pass or be rejected very early, so it's easy to make trades. You trade history and those of many in Congress aren't similar and there is no chance they are.

I don't know. I own most the same stocks that fueled their increase in net worth. They are basically the same ones even the worst financial advisor would tell you to buy. The latest conspiracy theory is that they sold a bunch of NVDA (and bought calls to hedge) because she had advance information on DeepSeek. Will the nuts revise the theory when the share price recovers (oh yeah, they knew that too, hence the calls).

There is a very fascinating 60 Minutes on it. Congress as a whole, on both sides of the aisle, are basically insider trading. It's pretty nuts. There are no laws to stop them and they always flop when introduced.
