FYI, this defense has 18 sacks for the season. That is a far cry from the 40-50 sacks per season under Venables. This is not a lack of talent but a DC that is above his head.

Dabo. So, he led both teams in tackles during the Spring game. But you know we have the seniority system at Clemson. You only get past an upperclassman in an emergency (losing is not an emergency) or with time served, like a prisoner. Sadly, Sammy can line up TODAY and be far better than any of our D ends behind Woods or Parker. Same at Safety or Nickel. Won't say he's better than Mickens but with a few weeks to figure out the assignments he's infinitely better than our back up safeties. So with a totally sub par defense, we find him the ultimate spot - standing on the sideline. At least the cats out of the bag now and if he's not on the field the coaches will look like idiots.

If Mr Brown had the 480 snap count of the starting LBs, a projection indicates he would have 24 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. Will be interesting how many snaps he gets in the remaining games.
