Get the biggest benefit because of their conference affiliation….football, basketball, or baseball. They dominant the top of polls in all these sports. Some is warranted to an extent but they would need to recover in either basketball or baseball with a natty to continue the narrative that they are the superior conference.

I would say football as the teams often show to be overrated but their is no question their basketball and baseball is top tier nowadays.

Their basketball shows to be overrated even more than football based on what I’ve seen. Just look at their tournament performance.

Yeah, I said look at their tournament performance.
The ACC has had years where they beat the SEC in football, for example, but the narrative didn't change.
SEC basketball gets creamed in the tourney almost every year.

Yes. They dominate in every sport that is a full fledged conference sport. Golf, tennis, softball, volleyball. Not from a national championship per se, but polls and rankings, plus the number of invites.

Basketball seems to be the newest addition. Baseball has long been very southern heavy with Texas and Cali schools mixed in.
It's gotten to the point that the media, specifically ESecPN, has pimped the SEC for so long that the average sports fan has been brainwashed into thinking that. Now it's seeping into the other sports as well.

I believe it’s baseball. Think of the investments the sec has made in baseball facilities and coach upgrades with their large espn investment.

Brazil has won the most World Cups, but Germany and Italy are right behind with four each. It's crazy how dominant these teams have been over the years!

All of them. Those feeling like the SEC is dominant in basketball and baseball have heard the lie so long you’ve started to believe it. How did those basketball teams do in last years tournament sans Alabama? Not too good. The SEC had two great baseball teams last year. They aren’t the be all end all. Stop watching espn and watch the games.

I would say the SEC deserves the love they get in baseball considering 6 different teams have won a title since 2017. Arkansas almost made it 7 in 2018. That’s not even factoring South Carolina’s 2 before that.

There were 4 acc and 4 sec teams in Omaha last year but the sec went 5-0 vs acc teams

The first World Cup in 1930 had only 13 teams, which is wild compared to today's massive tournament. It's crazy to think how much things have changed, kind of like collecting nfl trading cards. What started as a simple hobby has grown into a huge market with rare hockey cards worth money. Just like FIFA history, every card holds a story, a memory, or a legendary player that makes collecting so exciting.

I think it's all warranted and is by far the best conference, as much as I wish it wasn't. The conference has earned the respect and is the premier conference for sports.
