While I love my own orange-tinted classes, the OSU D was fantastic this year. They were virtually tied with us stat-wise coming into this game. LSU is significantly lower, and I expect to move the ball better against them than tonight (especially assuming Tee and Ross get healthy).

Did you not watch tonight's game? That defense did a fantastic job on Clemson's offense, and beat up the offensive line. It was just a couple players playing their hearts out that won it for Clemson. Ohio State is an amazing team. LSU has a phenomenal offense, but only an okay defense.

Clemson faced the best defense tonight that they encounter in the playoffs and the best defense they will see until next season, period.
Ohio St has a top their defense, no doubt, but the defense for OSU played with extra motivation tonight. They were salty and played as if they meant to punish the Clemson players, especially Trevor.
LSU"a defense has improved it's play the past few outings, but they are not in the same echelon as the Buckeye defensive unit. That's not a knock against the LSU defense. It's more of a known fact that OSU's defense was along the lines of Alabama's nasty 2016 defense.
This LSU offense will be the best Clemson has faced in the Dabo era. Burrow and that offense is like a straight nightmare. Clemson has something that no other team has. Brent Venables. If Venables can't slow Burrow and LSU, then no one can. It will be interesting to see how Burrows reacts to being on his back a lot

I hope we can put Burrow on his back often while he still has the ball in his hands. QB pressures won't work against him b/c he has that Trevor Lawrence/ Deshaun Watson cool as a cucumber even under pressure attitude.
Best bet will be confusing him pre-snap! And, look at the Auburn video. LSU won that one 23-20.

Buckeyes D is definitely better but what helps LSU D is the big leads their O gets as opposing offenses are forced to have to throw.

Even with their recent improvement, LSU's defense can't match what we faced tonight. But their offense leaves Ohio State's in the dust.
No way LSU's D-line controls the line of scrimmage the same way. We should be able to run the ball. TL should have more time to pass because LSU doesn't have the same pass rush.

Ohio States defense is head and shoulders better than LSU. #15 for LSU is worry about as far as pass rush(Chassom). But, OSU had a team full of guys who could get it done.
This OSU defense will go down as historically good. I agree with who said it earlier in this thread. The number of players they sported who will play in the NFL and be drafted really early was sick. They are probably better coached as well.

Ole Miss ran for over 400 yards on LSU and had over 600 yds of total offense as well.
