drive in the snow. We haven't had an appreciable snowfall like this since 1989; SHOULD we know how to drive in something we never see? And I'd like to meet anyone who can accurately drive on ice.

I got stuck behind a minority female driving 5mph down HWY 61 Saturday in a crappy chevy cav. There was barely any ice on the road. I was raging...some people definitely need to stay off the roads.

Ice sucks here in the Pee Dee too. Accidents have slowed quite a bit though.

I have been several places with a lot of snow and it is a piece of cake to drive on. Jacksonhole in February a couple of years ago was the most recent. What they dont understand is snow is easy to drive on... ice is impossible. Usually when it snows here, it gets warm enough... or at least the radiation heat from the sun will melt it and then, surprise, the next morning is snow... with a wonderful sheet of ice underneath that has refrozen during the night.
