Where does Cade rank

All time in your mind (if) he wins the Heisman this year but no championship? Where does he rank if we win the Natty, but no Heisman? Where does he rank if he wins the Heisman and Natty? Right now I've got Cade as a solid top 6 all-time Clemson QB. If he wins the Heisman or Championship this year I would boost him up to number 3. If he wins both, I would put him at 1. Curious as to where others would rank Cade all-time?

3. Watson was the first ever 4,000 passer and 1,000 rusher and only 2 have ever done it. Trevor was Trevor best talent to come through any program.

when neither DW or Trevor got the Heisman I have totally ignored it as a serious award. It has to do with media sensationalism and who they push. I'd just as soon Heisman house be razed and apartments out it.

From a Heisman perspective Cade is starting in a good position preseason wise, but obviously winning a Natty is by far most important. We do that Cade will be top 4. We’ll see how the season play out.

Jaçkson had a great year and it wasn't the crazy that Deshaun didn't get it. I think Deshaun deserved it though for sure. Back then the voters voted earlier. That has changed.
Trevor Lawrence was never ripped off for the Heisman. It could have gone either way on that one. DeVonta Smith was great.

First QB in FBS history to throw for 4,000 and run for 1,000 while putting up 47 total TDs. That on top of leading Clemson to the the Championship game should have sealed it.

Think he's 4th coming into this season but a good enough year could definitely vault him to #1. A Heisman/Championship season would arguably be the greatest achievement in the history of Clemson football. If he has a repeat of this season where he plays well but no Heisman and a first round playoff exit I think he could still move to #3 behind DW and TL. Think that might be enough to move him past TB.

Tajh couldn't beat the coots. And it wasn't because they were better than us, he just played like crap against them. For that reason alone, he is 5th imo.
As of right now: 1. Trevor 2. Deshaun 3. Cade 4. Whitehurst 5. Tajh
If Cade wins the Heisman and Natty
1. Cade 2. Trevor 3. Deshaun 4. Whitehurst 5. Tajh

My opinion, he still has a lot to prove. Yes, he improved last year, but he still missed some easy throws at critical times. Two that come to mind were last year against the Coots, perfect play calls, he missed two easy throws that woulda probably went for tds. Absolutely love the guy, but, in the big games, he's gotta come through more at crunch time.

Even Trevor missed easy ones at times. 3600 is elite. Period.
1. Lawrence 2. Watson 3. Boyd 4. Klubnik 5. Whitehurst.
Kulbnik and Whitehurst did it with garbage receivers mostly. Cade finally had a good room last year and his numbers exploded. 3600+ YDS 36 TD 4INT However, Cade didn’t sit the fourth quarter like Lawrence. Neither did DW4 because he always played down to opponents. I hated to watch his games because he made us the cardiac cats.
If wasn’t Boyd’s fault he couldn’t beat the coots. We had no oline, no defense and Spurrier was deep in Dabo’s head. Give Boyd last years o line with 2018 defense and he wins a Natty walking away.

Does Cade have the supporting cast of Watson and Lawrence both

offensively and defensively? I don't think so.
If our defense is anywhere close to the ones those guys had and he takes another big jump like last year, there's a good chance Cade turns out to be #1. With a good defense that can get off the field and get the ball back for more at bats for our offense, his passing and rushing numbers could be much better.

This year he has the offensive weapons DW4 and TL16 had, but he didn't have them until last year. and had to sit behind freaking DJ ukelele. TL16 and DW4 didn't have to do that, plus they had weapons all 4 years.

and didn't take as much time to develop. However, the light really came on for Cade last year, and if he follows up with another one like that this year, the he's gotta be top 3.

Had never thought of where he ranked all time at Clemson. But your ranking based on where we finish sounds on the mark. Now, individual stats on completions and interceptions might be a good bit different.

Not concerned about him winning the Heisman. Just would like to see him command and control the offense as a well oiled machine. Make smart decisions, be steady and consistent, limit turnovers from minimal to none, be comfortable and have fun. Anything positive after this would be icing on the cake. As far as ranking as a Tiger QB everyone will have their own opinion and debates.
But for now, GO TIGERS

Steve Fuller above Cade now IMO - as is Boyd - bring home a Natty (or even game effort in a close loss in a Final) and he joins that top 4 - but may be alone at top given the effort it will likely take if he CAN win #4 - hope he succeeds and glad we can have that legit hope again.

If he wins the Heisman and National Championship, then he would be 1st, no doubt about it. Especially with Watson's recent history. the only other argument would be TLaw.

I think T Law would be my pick right now, but that LSU Natty Game wasn't his best effort. He missed a lot of throws that night. I suppose Homer's overall stats aren't the greatest, but he had a Magical 1981 season.

3rd. If he wins a national title he'd be like 1C. Because Watson and Lawrence have to be 1A and 1B, if Klubnik won the Heisman and national title he could have the crown and be #1.

DW or TL could have done that spin out of tackle, hand down, then collect themselves for the accurate TD throw.
Nonetheless, if I had to win one game for a national championship, I'd probably go with TL, then DW as a close second place.

Before this year, I would put him a solid 6th! 1. Lawrence 2. Watson 3. Boyd 4. Whitehurst 5. Dantzler 6. Klubnik
Imagine what Woody would have been like with the weapons we have had over the past 10 years or so. He played under Tommy West and Tommy Bowden's first two years.

Cades already 3 IMO. I put almost no stock in Heisman. He almost has to win a Natl Championship to move above DW or TL and his performance in that game probably decides his placement. I think a ton of our fans have far under appreciated CK. Dude is a baller and has played with far less weapons around him and nowhere near the defense that 4 and 16 had. Hopefully this year will be different in both regards. If so, he could vault to the top.
