As long as we’re in this pathetic conference and Dabo does it “his way” we have a floor of about 8-4/9-3 on a bad year. The moment we go to SEc or Big10 with the current Dabo MO we’d get destroyed.
As long as fans are ok with it then it will continue.

Given the landscape.........I'd say we'll be a 3-loss, 4-loss type team moving forward.
"College Football" no longer exists.
Those schools with enormous amounts of money will dominate. ( this little factor explains why we can't compete in the Portal............)
The Hype Train will continue to tell many we're going to compete on a National level...............and many will believe it.
I'm just glad I was alive to see it before $$$$$$$$$$$$$ destroyed a great sport.

I really believe Dabo will retire like Saban before he embraces the portal/NIL. But even with better players we would struggle because the coaching has been awful. Our defense has turned from one of the best annually to a team that cannot set the edge and take good angles to save its life

so long as Dabo continues to:
1) Run or preside over stale, predictable "game plans,";
2) Routinely suck or be meh at best on special teams;
3) Harbor a strategically dumb obsession with shallow screens behind or near the line of scrimmage;
4) Be catastrophically bad at game and clock management.
Even WITH portal usage, we'll always undershoot our potential while Dabo is doing these things.

Based on how our recruiting has progressed and how we're losing blue chips to 3 stars, I see us at 7-5/8-4 team most years in the ACC.

the program. The sport is rigged. Rigged towards two conferences and towards Universities that have ultra rich boosters. It's an auction, without rules, for the players you field on a team. It doesn't matter.

I think 8-10 wins per year is our future. We can’t compete for championships if Dabo continues to stand on his principles in this era of college football.
It sucks to say, but using NIL to only maintain our roster won’t cut it. I understand that Dabo doesn’t want to force guys out. That’s admirable of him. It just won’t make us an elite program.
We have so many career backups on scholarship even though they’ll never really contribute for us. We have to start pushing them out for portal players and/or larger recruiting classes. Until that becomes reality, we can’t feasibly compete for championships.

It’s amazing he’s doing this to what we love and what he built. And he still gets paid 11.5 million to try and prove himself right and everyone else wrong. It’s beyond exhausting at this point.
If last night didn’t rattle enough cages, I fear another loss to a surging Gamecock team at home in all orange might finally wake up the Dabo first folks.

Because at this rate they are closing on us.
That's my main concern.
