So you are trying to engage in a little bit of negative recruiting about our O-line? Well, let's talk about your O-Iine and the fact that after all the hype about y'all being "one of the four best teams" y'all got your Buckeye tails handed to you and y'all got blanked by the Tigers and our O-line!

Thinking the same thing. Our little old OL didn't seem to have much trouble with their DL, nor did our DL have any trouble at all with their wonderfully talented OL. I don't know how they wound up getting their arses stomped, really humiliated, like they did. Yes I do. One team was hype, and the other was the real deal. Really, just that simple. It eats at their souls, too.

Myer feels that he has to dirty recruit bc, he feels if he had to really get out and work, it wouldn't be good for his heart. But if his heart was as bad as said to be, the game against us in the bowl game would have gave him a heart attack!!!

It's likely Kevin Wilson and Ryan Day that are saying that. Wilson has never played Clemson nor come across us, so he likely made that #### up to try and convince Carman he won't go to the league as an OL.

We are the defending national champions. Is it any shock that sleaze bags like Meyer or Muschamp are employing dirty tactics? The best recruiting we can do is to come out and make the playoffs again. These hot shots are buying into the one hit wonder argument. Prove these so called experts wrong.

That's why he's taking the recruits he's taking now. 2/3 stars, players kicked out of Auburn, dope dealer from Clemson and such.
Meyer ? Well he pointed out the one thing that he could think of,which,as of now, is true. There's a difference in Meyer's using a true fact to his advantage and Chump lying like a drunk, begging everyone to "be the man" at a no name school like USuC.THat's why the USuC staff gets laughed at at most high schools, where guys like Jimbo,Saban,Meyer and Dabo get the Red Carpet treatment.

Don't post much anymore...but the negative recruiting has been going on forever and will continue. My thing is with Caldwell coaching and evaluating I'll take who we get as an OL recruit period. We push the nfl thingy with wr so I guess it's fair to be used against us with some other positions. Saying that..I think it's been prover our coaches can work thru this...so will be ok. You mean the same year they lost to a bad VT team? They got lucky and caught Bama Sleeping and then Oregon was overrated. Oscar Meyer has only lost 6 games at OSU and 2 of those were against Clemson. One which took their 2 time B1G Player of the year and ended his QB career. We all know how that worked out. Go Tigers

They lost the first game of the season with a true FR

QB after losing their starter during camp. And then they won 14 in a row including that 59-0 humiliation of Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game. They didn't catch Bama sleeping either. Nobody catches Bama sleeping. And they beat Oregon pretty easily despite turning the ball over 4 or 5 times in the title game. OSUs offense was just lights out late in the year due to a lethal combo of Zeke Elliott (probably the best RB I've seen in at least the last ~5 years), great vertical passing game, and a steamroller of a QB that could run at 240 lbs.
That was a really good team, especially late in the year.

Va Tech was the second game of the season, but you're correct. JT was a true frosh and they won the last 3 games of the year with the third string QB, and against the top 3 Heisman finalists. That was a fun team to watch once they got going.
It's funny when people bring up their bad home loss to Va Tech when Clemson had a bad home loss to Pitt. Sometimes it happens, but in the end, you still win!

Best recruiting argument is success, and the Tigers are the best in the country now with a NC. Negative recruiting has been around for years, so no surprise there, except for the lack of integrity on some coaches.
That our oline has led us to a NC without 5* across the front sends a signal to recruits we have great coaches. These recruits are smart. If we get them to Clemson for a visit, we usually get our share and then some cause they see we are a great university with a great team and great coaches who recruit with class.
Let's take of business in fall camp and then the season. Go Tigers!

It would seem like that after the NCAA took away the 2 a days, they would have added another week to fall practice. A well conditioned and trained FB player stand a less likely chance of injury. It is bc of injury that they claim all the changes are about, isn't it....

^THIS. My opinion isn't worth the salt in my sweat, but every time I had seen Kelly in a game other than Miami I was underwhelmed. Now, was I too quick to judge a kid who got thrown into a series here or there- maybe. Maybe I would feel better had we been able to see Kelly in the spring game without the finger injury. Anyway, when you bust your tail and practice and try to get better, generally you do. I hope he wins the job and has a great year.

I know where you're coming from but it's tough to guage a guy who is working with 2nd and 3rd string guys particularly the ones on the offensive line. We are hearing good things from the coaches. I'm gonna go with that.

No that would be the NOT PRO STYLE offense that we run. Our runs are designed to be reads and slashes not straight ahead grinding. Pass pro is pass pro. It isnt how they are Coached, its what style we run. Second part of that is the complexity of our offense is a bit harder to pick up, the reads they have to make to accomodate the qb read and the "setting up" the defense to make a choice just doesnt correlate to the NFL. Just sayin.

about poor footwork and lack of cohesion on the oline since Caldwell has been here. Outside of the last half of 2015 our oline has been below average to not good. And other schools send olinemen to the NFL using the same style of offense. If it was the system then it would effect our RB's too, that didn't stop from Ellington and Gallman getting drafted. And RB isn't a position that we have had talented depth at

I feel way more excited about clemson football this year than I have in the past. Since we've won a national championship, it feels like the pressure has kind of been taken off to HAVE to win one right here and now. Don't get me wrong, it'd be amazing to win another, but the last couple of years the expectation has been so high that leading up to the season, it was like everyone just wanted to skip the season and play in December/January. This year I'm excited for every game and to see what we've got. Should be a fun few months

This is a quote of Nick Saban:
“It’s like climbing a mountain,” Saban says. “Very few people get to the top, but those who get to the top seldom stay on top. You’ve always got to keep climbing. When you’re climbing, you never look down, you never look back. You accumulate knowledge as you go so you can be successful in climbing. If you don’t do that, you completely lose perspective of the challenges that you’re faced with.”
I also think that is Coach Swinneys philosophy: the guys will have to stay focused and willing to work as a team to accomplish their goals. We as fans will have to know not to compare our QB with Deshaun. We have some great young QB's and I think if we look at them and not backwards we will help them to be successful. Tiger fans, lets be realistic and help our team. By being the great Tiger fans we have a reputation of. Tiger fans we are just as important to our guys as they are to each other. Tigers focus and believe in each other!!!! BE the team at the end by Believing and Executing. Wilkins and Lawrence are in the top 15 players in the nation. You guys will be the leaders this year. Keep your eyes, hearts and guts on the prize.
