cans. They don't last. Don't get the fascination with them. Much rather have the bottle to go with my 1981 one.

Here here. Totally agree. 81 bottles put this can to shame. Heck I'd take it even if it was a 6 oz or 8 oz bottle.

Ooo that would be nice! Coke obviously doesn't understand how many they could sell. They could sell a ton at the games this year.
My 81 bottles held really well. Can't remember but I don't think we ever drank any.

a Coke bottle like '81. The man who designed that bottle is deceased...he worked at Laurens Glass and it is closed.
He was a Clemson guy and loved the Tigers...he also designed the '74 bottle (undefeated home season) & other commemorative bottles on occasion. John Hugh was a good friend of my Uncle....they were both from the greatest generation.

Even though the 'Orange Crush' cans all finally leaked out on me - ruined a pretty nice shelf, too - at least the design and markings were more distinctive than these coke cans.

Yes, I would rather have the bottles, but I did get some cans that really don't stand out. What I did was spray some of the cans lightly with clear enamel. I hope this will help preserve the look.
