What's the most ridiculous drink deal (non-Clemson) you remember?

I only say non-Clemson because all drinking back in the day there was stupid cheap. What's the most ridiculous drinking deal you remember a bar having back in the day when the economy was sane?

Mine: About 20 years ago, you could go to a Bull & Finch in Charleston on an NFL Sunday and get five free wings for every beer your ordered. Any beer. So you could pound a sixer of Miller Lite and eat 30 free wings on top of it.

Had $0.50 PBR on Monday, $0.50 long neck Miller on Tuesday, and $1 Bud long neck on Wednesday

I don’t know how I didn’t kill my self back then.

The LEGENDARY Thirsty Beaver Saloon, every Mothrafreaking day.

FYI...Truck Stop Preachers will be there this coming Sunday. If you've never seen these guys, I promise it's one of the most memorable shows you'll ever see. The music is fantastic, but the show is unlike anything you'll see. Hilariously out-of-bounds raunchy well beyond the limits of what happens here in the Jounge. Probably the most fun of any regular Thirsty Beaver band.

Sounds great, but I will be in Sparkle City this Sunday and the next. I am starting to feel a little shame that I have not yet been to the Beaver for a Sunday evening concert. This will be my New Year's resolution.

At City Social in London they were doing Coravin pours of 1989 Chateau d’Yquem for only £70/ounce, probably half of what you’d be expected to pay at an equivalent place in the states.

Oh, and at Salty Mike’s there was a $1 beer trough, you just reached in and got what your grabbed, it usually was a mishmash of leftover beers from different cases, usually light domestos but occasionally some treasures.

we got liberty the day after and found a bar in Savannah that had a $10 cover and then beer was $1 and liquor drinks were $2. It wasn't top-shelf stuff by any means, but we got our money's worth that night.

That's $!/da for the worst headache of my life and that's not counting the shower my mother gave me with the water hose when she spayed the puke off the porch without checking to see if I was laying there soaked in my own puke, alive or dead.

RIP Mama, I don't blame you a bit.

$5.00 cover got you in, they handed you a red solo cup, and well drinks, draft beer, and cheap wine was included. As long as you kept your cup (or stole someone else's) you could drink until closing for five bucks. Had to quit going when my buddy from Athens failed out of school because nobody could drive home from that.

A bar out in town had a "any coin/any drink" night weekly. This regularly led to predictable unfortunate outcomes. And probably was the beginning of the national coin shortage twenty years later.

Something like free admission with a Clemson game stub and 25 cent beers. They were small beers and not good, but it was dirt cheap.

There were a few bars in CHS that did a mug night. You could bring any drinking vessel that you wanted and fill it up for $5 or less (i truly don't remember the money, but it was next to nothing).

Somehow one of the frat bros figured out how to get a coupon code for a blanket $10 off for Keystone Light 30 racks. No idea how, but I can regale on the execution.

Obviously w/ a frat house in DT Atlanta, we had numerous retail outlets we could peruse using these coupons.

by the end of our stent, I think every big box, grocery store, friggin liquor store, you name it had a massive poster board up saying "DO NOT ACCEPT THESE COUPONS".

We were getting 30 Keith Stoners from somewhere around $8 / box.

After a few hundred of em, that got shut down. No one got in trouble....

But THEN...during the end of year beach / formal trip deal, we stumbled upon a winn-dixie down in the FL panhandle that had 30 racks of Keith Stoners for 14.99 / box.

We hit every Winn-Dixie possible and bought every 30 rack they had for $4.99 a pop

I don't think I've touched Keystone Light again after that semester, haha

tl;dr: buncha #### tech nerds coded us up a barcode to stick it to the man in metro ATL to get Keystone's fur about a quarter a beer.
