I will say right off the bat, it isn't much. Yes, changes are needed. I am sure changes will be made. I am not sure they happen today or this week, based on what I am hearing. It's just not Dabo's style to make these in-season changes. I understand the defensive coaches have been hosting a recruit and there was a supper last night and even breakfast this morning. There is a staff meeting this afternoon, probably before our call with Coach at 6, and I guess we might learn something then.
As for Neff's appearance in Dabo's press conference, I have been told he was there to show support for his head coach and that their interaction in the locker room after the game was "friendly."
Like I said, this is what I have, and it's not much. And like I told someone earlier as I was digging for info, I don't need clicks, I just want to be right. This is, as far as I know, where things stand right now.

Please go back and research. Kelly quit on his team when the better player earned the start over him. Go look how Cole Stout and Jalen Hurts both handled similar situations. I was one happy person when Hurts earned his Super Ring because the guy is a class act.

So you want coaches fired because players are making mistakes and condemn benching a player who was the 2nd or at best 3rd QB on the team. It's probably good Bryant decided to redshirt because I still don't think Bryant beats Syracuse after TL is hurt like Chase Brice did.

Next, tell me who were the impact players in D that we lost from last year and the impact players on D that joined for 2025 season.
Finally, point out players on D who continued to develop favorably (personal skills) from last year to this year.
Put it all together, and our overall personnel strength is clearly better in 2025 vs that from 2024.
Why, then, has our defense become so much worse in 2025?

If I remember correctly, Rob Spence was fired by Dabo between the time that Tommy Bowden got fired and KO of Dabo’s first game as HC vs GA Tech.

Dabo and Napier shared the OC job from mid-year 2008 through season end 2010.
(I’m convinced that Dabo wanted to wear both the HC and OC hats because he figured that he wouldn’t be HC for long; he was hedging his bets in hopes that he might land a OC job after Clemson fired him. Thanks to Dabo’s superb recruiting, our Tigers had developed into an offensive juggernaut with the convergence of hired-gun Chad Morris as OC and the quartet of T.Boyd, D.Hopkins, S.Watkins, and A.Ellington. Dabo’s future success as a HC was then secured.)

... I would not be shocked to see some sort of "reassignment of responsibility" if not a complete firing today.
It has been clear for weeks, and Dabo made it VERY clear yesterday he was EXTREMELY upset with the DBs, specifically the play of the safeties.
Here are the job responsibilities for Mickey Conn, from the Clemson website: Defensive Pass Game Coordinator/Co-Special Teams Coordinator/Safeties
He is not only the safeties coach, he is the defensive pass game coordinator.
I don't care how good a friends he and his family are with Dabo and his family, I can't believe he will be on the staff next year. Do you think Dabo might relieve him of at least "pass game coordinator" this week?

On Neff's appearance in the press conference, what you were told sounds like a spin job to me. I may be wrong, but I view what Neff did as a "power play" by a boss that I've seen more times than I can count.

I mean honestly at this point I think I'd rather see Dabo move on from Allen than Riley during the season. Allen seems like a great guy, but this is the worst defense I think I've ever seen in my 40 years.

We are stale and need some turnover.
Controlled turnover is good as it keeps people on their toes and infuses the organization with new ideas and energy.
We need some in the coaching staff and with the players. I want to see our team outraged and show passion.
I was sitting behind the Duke bench and several of their players prepared a round tray of drinks for those coming off the field - they were supporting each other and refreshing to see.

Always checking and appreciate the integrity in reporting. Good press conference questions about Conn/Allen. Several reports around about issues between players/coaches and coaches/coaches it appeared to be more of an issue and you asked. At the same time Sports Illustrated reported on K Barnes poor body language blow off of Dabo Swiney and these are public issues for Tigers and recruits. Some reports also say defensive coaches on benches being very subdued per season ticket holders near bench compared to prior years. Fans see the issues between player/coahes, coaches/coaches and non-caring emotions from both-apparently we are all seeing things.
