I received one today for the first time, which puzzled me because I've spoken to this person several times, it's not like I needed reminding it was a she/her that sent it. I know what my immediate thought was.
What about y'alls??
TIA

It tells me one of two things:
1) The individual needs attention and wants to look progressive 2) The poor weak fool succumbed to corporate pressure
I get tons of these at work. Not one has ever said they/them and none of them was a surprise "she" when I expected a "he". Nothing is being accomplished with this stupid bs.

Do I need to change my signature back to David? Idgaf what people want to be called.
If people want to be called Ted instead of Rafael, then I'll call them Ted. If people want to be called JD Vance instead of James Donald Bowman, then I'll call them JD Vance. See how easy this is?

Anyone with pronouns on their resume and LinkedIn are more often then not flagged as:
"troublemaker" "aszkisser" "AI User"
Only woke companies care about it. It is career limiting to have it on your docs.

I usually find that the only pronoun anyone needs to use to refer to me is "you" or "y'all," and even strangers seem to figure that out without me telling them. The only time they'd need to use a different pronoun is if they're talking about me when I'm not around, in which case I won't know and won't care.

If it’s work related, I would probably not even notice it…but if I did, I’d assume their company makes them do it. Beyond that, I give it no thought. My company allows folks to do it, but it’s not mandatory. If it did become mandatory, I’d do it…too close to retirement, too highly compensated, and benefits are too good for me to look a gift horse in the mouth…even if they identify as a mule.

Just another mindless societal trend that makes no sense to me. I throw it in the same place as safe spaces, therapy animals, and adults who carry stuffed animals. It’s the result of a Society who lacks values and has been pampered their whole lives

I’m so timid, weak, insecure and fragile that as soon as I receive an email like this, I go to TigerNet and ask other people what they think.
I gotta figure out what to do with this type of email.
