Someone please explain to Goodwin that our corners are allowed to be up on the receivers at the snap! I am so stinking tired of watching them parked 10- 12 yards off the receivers. Happens waaaaaayyyyy to often.

how often was there a defender in their hip pocket?

Like 90% of the time?

Would you be happier if we played bump man and got blown by for big play touchdowns all day?

Are you serious??? You can't play that soft on those receivers. Got to interrupt the flow/ timing. We have good corners and safeties. Stop handicapping them.

FSU had very very few times today when the ball got to a receiver and there wasn't a defender right there. Lots of PBUs and a handful of great catches by good WRs in tight coverage. They're on scholarship too. The most a DC can do is put his players in position to make plays, and our guys were in position to make plays all day long.

But, I think we are pretty predictable

Press man coverage’s drawback is that it lets the QB know the defense is in man

You can disguise zone and man coverages in Off man alignment

On the other hand you can bring more exotic corner blitz packages with press man

I’d like to see us mix in press man with off man and zone
