What is going on with the Braves?

I know Spencer Strider is coming back from injury and we have some good young talent who got a lot of experience last season. But we lost some GREAT pitchers in the off season in addition to other positions. we picked up practically no one in the off season except the Profar and I read he had a injury the other day, hopefully a small one. But any Braves fans have any real insight into the upcoming season?

Yeah, a lot of Braves fans are asking the same question. I’m shocked they didn’t get an established #2 pitcher. With Strider coming off major arm surgery and losing Fried, it’s kinda a head scratcher. Was listening to a Braves podcast about a month ago and those guys had the very same questions.

With Chris Sale’s injury history, you’d bet the season he put together last year isn’t exactly something you’d want to rely on as far as a repeat performance.

Acuna always worries you as at some point the multiple surgeries you’d think would start to take a toll on his body. SS is a concern as the Braves got the least production out of that possession than any team in the NL.

They have the money with all their big contracts being team friendly. Going to be an interesting year for the GM as he will receive a lot of heat if what he’s put together or lack of moves in the season doesn’t work out.

They seem to think a lot of their young pitchers. I agree with you though, you can’t count on Sale having a repeat performance. If he can’t, then you are counting on all these young guns to hold up for a full season. Yikes.

The Braves have a history of being cheap. I, too, have been concerned about their lack of team building.

the Braves will be lucky to finish 3rd in the Division behind Philly and the Mets especially if the injury bug bites them again.
