that Francis Marion was the swamp fox but now I'm confused.

True story, Brigadier General Swamp Fox's Colonel was a Harrelson and is buried close to Swamp Fox's grave. He was a great, great, great, Uncle or something like that? And the weird thing is he was sent over as a Royalty British and fought for the south. My family is from midwest English and German so to have family fighting in the South was a weird family tree identification my grandmother put into a book that was put in a lineage museum in England, although I think we are more Irish?

Still some Harrelson family in and around Georgetown, which is not far from Snow Island where The Swamp Fox often went to elude British Troops

Yeah, I have a family link to Harrelson's from southeastern SC area. Not sure about the Gtown group or not. I know there were some burials like in Branchville/Ridgeville also that my grandmother put in her book. As mentioned, we never knew we really had links to the south even though I live here, I was born in Iowa along with 90% of my relatives. But my great grandmother was a Harrelson which linked back to SC then to England.
My grandmother, RIP, spent a lot of time in her last years of retirement putting together her family tree. She travelled all over finding graves of family members, taking pics of family graves to put in her book. That is why I have been to Swamp Fox's grave which is in the midlle of nowhere. Her book was thousands of pages, like 3-4" thick and was done well enough that it was recognized in England somewhere. My aunt still has the book, never published, just copied and passed around. Probably worth money to like Ancestry.com or something like that?
