Nuggets had a 1st round grade on PJ. He will have a great chance of getting on there.

He chose Denver? First, nobody else chose him. Not sure what that tweet is trying to say.

I hate this! These are the types of things that keep Clemson Basketball somewhat grounded. Top tier guy goes undrafted because of where he played. If he was UCONN, Duke, or UNC guy he drafted. You can bet on that. This will ge used against us in recruiting going forward. Liken it to Oline recruiting for football at Clemson.

Stating why he wasn’t drafted. There are limited spots in the NBA draft. Only 58 drafted. Without looking or counting, guessing probably only half from colleges.

“Hall had significant second round interest, but chose Denver“
Poorly worded and misleading. He only had a choice because he did NOT have second round interest.

You are guaranteed so much if you make the team or not.
Denver pays real well too. He makes the team could get a guaranteed contract similar to Hunter.
here was interview after Draft snub.

Thanks. Great question. All I could relate it to was football. Where in football, it's 99.9% worthless. I guess from nctigs and others it's different. I understand he gets some money but is he on the team or not? If not, is it like football where you go and tryout? Do you have to beat out current players? Then you get cut if they don't make the roster, and do they have scout team.

Bronny James got drafted by the Lakers. Started 6 games at USC and avg 19 mins a game. 4.8 PPG 2.8 RBG 2.1 APG 36% FG 26% 3FG 67% FT
What a freaking joke. Gotta be proud LaBruh. Even though he wouldn't start in the G league.

Talk about a complete waste of a 2nd round pick. I guess it was part of Lebron's contract coming to the Lakers that included a draft clause for Bronny...
You are right about starting in G League. Heck, he couldn't even start in college.

Those stats are a joke. If his name was not James he would not be sniffing the NBA. He will get exposed very quickly.
Lakers brass celebrating 😂. Basically happy an older James will at least be around for another year. Can’t stand the Lakers anyways and with their latest coaching move and this wasted pick not sure they will be relevant any time soon.

Don't keep up with basketball that well, but some guy from UVA was drafted in 1st round with about 8 Pts per Game avg. Seems odd to me that PJ fell below several of these guys.

If I am not mistaken he has a contract to play with Denver or their minor league equivalent (G-League), not sure where that is for Denver but it's usually close by. If he's good enough he'll be in Denver, if not, he'll be close by working on his game and available for call up to Denver when he's ready.

Yep that is dead on it. A lot of decent talent stuck in the G- league. I consider it the equivalent of AAA baseball to MLB.

In the NBA, second round picks arent guaranteed a contract.

So while being drafted in the second round does guarantee you a chance to make the team, it doesn’t really mean more than if you are picked up as a free agent and given an invite to camp.

https://gleague.nba.com/nba-g-league-101-two-way-contracts
NBA teams may have up to two players under NBA Two-Way contracts who will spend the bulk of the season in the NBA G League and not more than 45 days with their NBA team. Two-Way players are paid a corresponding daily amount based on the number of days they play in each league. Only players in their fourth NBA season or earlier are able to sign Two-Way contracts, which can be for either one or two seasons.

This is cool, hope he does well and makes the team. I live in Denver and would love to see a Clemson guy do good.
For some reason the Donkeys never draft a Clemson football player….
