We struggled to beat Team a crappy team had another kick blocked this time return for a touchdown… And only managed 24 points… I’m happy we won, but let’s not pretend this team suddenly looks amazing

it makes no sense. Lotsa water under the bridge at Clemson since 2011, including the fact that Dabo hadn't won anything yet at that point. FF to 2024, and we have two national championship games and were playing for the championship five years ago. The drop between then and now is substantial impossible to deny.

Clemson doesn't pay Dabo $11.5 mil a year (second highest in the nation) and charge us season ticket holders thousands of dollars a year to simply be "relevant." The financials are set on "best" being the standard. And that's not what we're seeing on the field. That's the issue.

Let's roll the tape back to last week. We had that proverbial monkey on our back. I continue further with why a 400 hitter can have a slump when he can't hit his way out of a wet paper sack? The world wonders.
Why does a hoopster that shoots the lights out all of a sudden can't make a layup? I am no shrink but I have been in similar circumstances as the above where nothing goes right.
If players were machines it would be simple, you service them, replace any needed parts and program them to win.
Yesterday our defense played lights out but it took the first half for our offense to remove the monkey from it's back. The monkey was still hanging around looking for a place to land; however we found a way to win.
Is all right in Mudville? I don't know, but a win does wonders for the soul.

Losing at the half to Va Tech AFTER laying an egg last week.
He deserves ridicule for not getting team ready to play. First half effort was poor to be very kind about it.
A change is needed somewhere. Special teams, offense, defense. Shakeup the comfort zone of these coaches who aren’t earning their big paydays

We beat a 5-4 (now 5-5) team with no elite wins and some bad losses. It seems like extremely low standards for the football program to take this solid individual performance as proof that everything is fine. I thought we had a standard that we should not look like absolute garbage 3 or 4 times a year. Is this no longer true? Should we be convinced that the Louisville and UGA loss are fine and there is no problem?

While I regret my 1st half vitriol, I stand behind my comments that it is unacceptable that Blocked field goals continue to be a problem and the team played absolutely dead for 6 quarters. The offense and defense did step up in the second half today
