If Miami wins it all this year, does that mean the ACC wasn't having a down year?
And if they aren't doesn't that mean that we should have been a NCAA tournament team?
And if Miami wins it all does that mean that Neff is justified in sticking with Brownell another season?

Miami winning it all suggests that the competition in the ACC this year was at a high level and that teams simply missed significant opportunities through out conference play.
If that is true then maybe what Neff is saying about Brownell is what's best for the program. That's where I was getting at with my questions.
Maybe the fans are trying to put Brownell on the chopping block unfairly after the season we just had.
I know the NIT was a huge con for Brownell staying, but maybe he really did put a good team on the floor. I hate that they have virtually no paint presence and typically rely on the 3 pointer but that's basketball now. Everyone wants to be like Steph and shoot deep 3's. No strategy hardly anymore except getting the open look on a 3.

We had 3 teams that really stood out, Miami, UVA, and Duke. Everyone else was pretty mediocre compared to the ACC in its prime. When the conference has fallen to #6 or #7 among all conferences you can definitely consider it a down year for the ACC.

Majority of the ACC was down this year. I could never imagine beating NCSt. three times and Duke in the same year. Miami has been pretty good all year and they are clicking at the right time.
I honestly thought we were an NCAA team this year. Clemson was penalized by losing to USCjr., Louisville, etc and by the perception that the ACC was weak this year.
Neff's decision will be justified if Clemson makes the tournament more than he doesn't. Miami winning it all shouldn't qualify as justification. Winning the ACC will also help.

Or it could mean that the competition that was faced in the ACC this year was unfairly evaluated and portrayed by a bias media as such.
Just because Duke, UNC, and NC State had down years doesn't mean the ACC as a whole was bad, because Miami proved that narrative wrong by making it to the final four.
If they win it all then it means that the ACC definitely had a very competitive league that could go against anyone in the country.
If that is true than it means Clemson got snubbed due to media bias and a controlled narrative.
Clemson losing in the first round in the NIT proves them right. But my question is how as a coach can you motivate for the NIT knowing that the players hearts were not in that?
Again best is the standard and we should've been better in the NIT but I'm saying maybe Neff is right to keep BB one more season before cutting ties. It would be hard pressed to say we fired the coach who had one of his best seasons and got snubbed on the NCAA tourney. Idk who would want to take that coaching job after that but I can't imagine a long list of candidates after that.

I think we're long past the phase where we can even pretend to be optimistic about the future with Brown-L as head coach. Miami won the ACC and for good reason---they're a good team with a good coach. One has nothing to do with the other.
Clemson wasn't snubbed. We were NOT a tournament team as evidenced by our crapping the bed in the NIT as the #1 seed losing to the #16 seed, who promptly got destroyed vs. UAB in their next game. I'm only glad we were spared the humiliation on national TV.

Even if Miami wins, the ACC was a Dumpster Fire.
The answer(s) your three questions are 1) NO 2) NO 3) NO.
Miami's season is likely going to end in the Final Four against UCONN anyways.
Being the ACC's torch-bearer highlights just how far the rest of league has fallen off.
