I was taken a back for a sec until realizing Committee was big about # of wins and the Ponies had 12 wins to our 10, so OK with it then especially since we were in by the hair on our Tiger’s tail.

Like usual.
as Nick Saban said, they should not have had SMU ranked that high to begin with. They were certainly expecting them to win and then there would be no problem. SMU would have been 3 or 4 with ASU 12. But you can't rank based on what you think is going to happen.

No problem with it. Texas might be a tougher out than Penn State, but if we can beat Texas, look out.

Our defense couldn't slow down SMU and the momentum that they had throughout the entire second half. If that game goes into overtime, Dabo's Tigers are watching the playoffs from home, and he is at home making calls to better coaches than the ones that he gave the same chance that he was given 15 years ago, and they have failed...

You got it.
Once we got into the CFP, the only numerical scale that mattered to me was the latitude.
Give me a high number for the seeding (#12) and a low number for the latitude (Austin is at latitude 30).
Penn State is at latitude 40. Glad we aren’t playing up there.

If you beat a team head to head one night then they should not be ranked ahead of you the next day. Thought we should be 11 and SMU 12.

It didn’t bother me at all. To me, all of the rankings are completely fake. Clemson loses to UGA-drops 9 spots, Clemson loses to UL-drops 9 spots, Clemson beats #8 SMU- moves up 1 spot, BAMA loses to OU-drops 5 spots. BAMA beats Mercer-moves up 3 spots. Overcoming the fake rankings produced by committees is tough, but WIN your conference? Committees don’t get to vote on that.
I fully expect these corrupt bozos to form another committee and vote that conference championships don’t mean anything, which will of course will mean that the only thing that matters, is their vote.
I have one other thought. These SEC schools have been pounding on the city wall, clamoring to release the “money monster”. Did they really think that through? What yahoo in Mississippi or Alabama thinks he has the greenbacks to go to war with Oregon or USC or Michigan or OSU or Texas?
I think the mouth breathers are suffering from delusions of grandeur to think that their “go fund me collective” can compete.

We moved into the 12 spot because we won the conference.

I love our seeding....
We match-up better vs Texas and a non-running QB (if Texas was smart, they would mix in a few drives with Manning to exploit our troubles with mobile QBs).
If we win, ASU is the lowest seed of the byes.
Oregon/UT/OSU is a tough game, but that would be in the final 4.
Predicting a re-match with UGA back in Mercedes-Benz.
I would not want to go to ND or PSU in the end of December.
I think UT is going to play 2 high safties and load the box. They are going to make us pass it without giving up the home run just like UGA played us. We need to be patient and take 4-5 yards and dink and dunk it down the field. Our D will have to generate TOs. If we do that, I like our chances in Austin.

I'd like to see us meld in some unique ways to get the ball in the hands of our quickest players on offense in space. When I see what Rhett does with SMUs offense and what Sean McVay does with the Rams offensive, it seems like we could get Antonio, Wesco, or Moore the ball in space or maybe use Hammerhead, Eziomume, or Jarvis Green (since Haynes is hurt). I love the pass to Briningstool in the red zone with numerous blockers out front for the score! Would like to see more creative plays like that one.

Doesn't really matter
I'm bothered more by being a conference champion and being sent on the road to play Texas.
Texas is ranked 3rd in total defense
And they are second in the nation in passing defense.
Having no running game to speak of this will likely cause Riley many sleepless nights

Honestly I think it is appropriate. We lost every statistical category of that game except penalties and score. Plus they only have 2 losses. I get it. We were not getting a bye either way, so I say count our blessings.

Penn State up there on the 21st and it drop down to the teens....I will never forget UCONN whacking the coots in Shreveport when it dropped into the 20s.....Coots wanted to stay on the sidelines in warm coats and the Huskies were standing on the sidelines like it was a nice fall day....
