Just rewatched Muppet Christmas Carol last night.
It’s always been in my top 5.
The watch last night just reaffirmed to me that it is not only the greatest interpretation of Charles Dickens story, but the greatest Christmas movie of all time.

I know I'm late, but I rarely come to the Amphitheater.
1. It's a Wonderful Life
2. The Homecoming (original movie that started the Waltons TV series)
3. Scrooge (Musical with Albert Finney)
4. Fred Claus
5. Disney's A Christmas Carol (stayed true to the text and the best 3-D movie I've seen in the theater)
A Christmas Story, Home Alone, Christmas Vacation and Elf were good, but they've worn thin on me.

Jim Carrey's Grinch, Elf, Home Alone, The Santa Claus, and Polar Express, in some order, but there's about 10 that I love.
Christmas movies are always hard to rank because is the movie actually good or do you just have great memories that surround it? Polar Express gets dunked on a lot but it's probably #1 for me just because of when it came out. My mom took my sister and I on one of those Polar Express train trips when I was about 7... not long after my dad passed, and I was in peak "Santa believing" years... so that story is always a special one for me.
