Has Clemson basketball done enough for NCAA tournament?

18-5 probably lose to Duke so 18-6 with 7 games left. All 7 or winnable but let’s assume Clemson wins 5 of 7 and finishes 23-8. Would Clemson be in the ncaa tournament?

As long as they don't lose to Boston College and Virginia there should be nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the quadrants.

But tell me which of those teams is really good.

Okay I’ll narrow it down for you.

You listed 8 teams.

4 of those have a losing record in their conference.

And 2 of those have a losing overall record as well.

Also- we have multiple losses to teams with a losing overall record.

Not good.

Your opinion is completely irrelevant in the real world. The NCAAT resume will consider those as good wins. I don't really care - and the committee doesn't either - if you disagree.

23-8 and we are in the tournament. I’d even say we avoid the play in.

I never said that I am the selection committee.

I just know what resume they will be looking at.

You still won’t tell me who our good wins are against, because they don’t exist.

Bottom line is this…
We better find a way to beat Duke this Saturday, or we’ll be chasing wins in the ACC tournament.

You are consistently wrong. The resume they will be looking at currently has us at 33 in NET with 8 q1/2 wins. That is tournament-worthy and it's all that matters, regardless of what you qualify as a "good win".

Of the 90 bracket predictions that are consolidated by Bracket Matrix, Clemson is selected by ALL 90 OF THEM. We are currently hovering around a projected 7-8 seed.

Losing to Duke will not knock us out of the NCAAT.

We’ve seen this movie before.

We have bad losses, and we need a big win.

You can choose to continue to ignore those facts.
Your opinion doesn’t matter either.

The thing is, I am presenting facts. You are not. Your subjective definition of good wins is completely irrelevant. The NET ratings and quad records are not only relevant, they are primary qualifications for an at-large selection. Those are facts.

And we don't have bad losses from a selection committee standpoint...we have 1 bad loss (GT). Otherwise we are undefeated in q3/q4.

The "movie we've seen before" that you are referring to (2023) had three quad 4 losses on it. This is not the same movie.

You should know that by now. I'm not sure why you choose to be ignorant or stubborn, or both. The formula for at-large is widely known and understood at this point. The NET rules all. We are proof of that the past 2 years...this is not rocket science. Again, it doesn't matter if you agree with how the selections are made or not. That doesn't change the facts.

The tourney took 5 ACC teams last year (1 being a play in game team)

So i'd imagine they take 4 to 5 again. I think we have a good enough team to maintain that level in the conference.

Not a high seed or anything. Maybe a 7 to 10 type seed. We can be streaky good though. When we're on from 3 land we have about 5 or 6 players that can hit them so we could make another run. Pretty decent defensively. We didn't play well last night but thats not indicative of this team. Thats about as tired as i've seen them look. So.. need to regroup, take a deep breath, and BEAT DOOK!!

The season is far from over. The fans and especially the players need to focus on the next game and stop thinking about the ACC or NCAA tournament. We are in a similar position as last season where we could have finished out the season 9-1 but seemed to lose focus. This was likely due to looking ahead. I hope last night was a wakeup call.
