Anyone who remotely follows the sport knows this team is not playing anywhere near a competitive level.
Pitt is thankfully also playing like a JV team.
Im not even talking about the score
The gloves are beyond bad right now. The feet work is straight trash. The double play throw looked like something out of Little League. The errors everywhere.
Has Clemson taken advantage of Pitts trash play?
Absolutely.
I dont need to wait till the end of a game to see how a team is playing and has been playing for the last week and a half

We're having a great season but we haven't looked to sharp over our last five games other than the shutout vs NC State. It won't help now that our starting shortstop is out for the season and Will Taylor may be done as well. Cam has been playing with a shoulder injury all season.
So, obviously injuries have plagued us but it does seem mental errors have been in excess lately.

Did they play poorly Friday, make errors, bad base running, take too many strikes down the middle and swing at too many balls out of the strike zone? yup! Guilty as charged! Did they come back and win? YUP! Don't ever count these boys out of a ballgame. Their dugout dance routines may put them in the "girly man" category but their grit and determination with a will to win is outstanding!!

Well said. The team right now is playing like a first couple of opening weeks team. Trying to figure out the order, Trying to figure out who's in the field to fit said batting order.
I guess the original poster missed coaches statement that injuries will be part of our story. Essentially having to remake the team.
So, well said. Bisetta hasn't been playing even though he's a senior. We're just thin. Smith's first game back. But, we shut them down after 4-0 start. Just not a healthy team and our depth is raw and young.

Here’s the deal:
1) Injuries have hurt the Tigers
2) The team has surrendered 12 unearned runs the past 4 games. That’s in part due to injury related position changes.
3) The team has been looking more like a Monte Lee team in the batters box of late. You can tell from last night’s in-game interview this is driving Bakich nuts. He didn’t pull any punches in his comments how poorly they are executing. This is a good thing. Bakich isn’t blowing smoke and rationalizing. He’s called it what it is and thus is no doubt working on it in practice. What’s getting tested right now is team depth and being coachable. Bakich can only do so much and work with what he’s. The best news is that this team doesn’t quit. The attitude has remained positive.
