WR depth chart 18 months ago:
First 3: Tyler Brown Troy Stellato Beaux Collins
Depth: A. Williams (hurt) Cole Turner (hurt) Adam Randall 250 total yards Brannon Specter
Current First 3: A Williams TJ Moore Bryant Wesco
Depth: Tyler Brown (Freshman All-American) Tristan Smith Cole Turner
Randall, Kelley, Hanafin don't even crack the top 6 anymore and had to move positions. Stellato, Collins and Spector hit the road. No more Hamp Greene nor Clay Swinney experiments.
Clemson is back, guys.

I am excited to see Randall at running back. With his wr experience he will add another dimension

I'm sure his WR skills will help but his size makes him a potential battering ram if he's able to get low and plow into the line.

Not sure Adam has ever had to lower his pads and actually try to move a defender. But the size is there, my question is whether the heart is there! Hard to learn that at this stage.
I coached a RB in high school that thought the sideline was his lord and savior! He had legit 4.4 speed and was 6ft, 200lbs, he could do it all except lower his pads and take on a tackler. The light came on his SR year and he was being recruited by many D-1 schools. Sadly he passed in a single car accident before the end of his SR year. Would have loved to see what he would have done in life, he was a great kid!

That's a tough story. But to the first part of your post, that's why I said potential.

IMO hitting the correct spot at full speed is much more important as all the DL and LBs are bigger than the any RB

I think the hardest adjustment for Randall will be pass pro.

That is the reason most true freshman see very limited time on the field. In effect Randall is a true freshman at RB.
If he can pick up pass pro well enough that the coaches trust him not to get Cade killed, I agree with you. He's big and strong and fast enough to run inside zone, outside zone and counter. He's also strong enough to run power on 3rd and 1. Couple that with his pass catching ability and he could be a real problem.
But, as any QB coach will tell the OL and RB coach every day in coaches meetings the #1 job is, "Protect my QB."

Pass protection is difficult. Both Mafah and Shipley still struggled at times even in their last seasons. What’s worse, with the illegal blocking rules, when you’re bad at it you can also kill a drive.
