They could probably afford to pay the players without raising prices by cutting unnecessary spending elsewhere, but obviously they're not going to do that if they can use it as an excuse to squeeze more money out of the fans.

Question: If UofSuC implements this would they be required to name it something other than "talent fee"? Maybe "Waste Management Fee" would be more fitting....
Anyways, I think we all knew this stuff would get out of hand given time.

I agree with you people will not be able to afford this in the future.
Family of 4 wanted to see NC State this weekend.

4 tickets 660 ( May be higher or lower depending how long and how late you look)
Snow lot 50
Tailgate 50 bucks
So 760 if you used these numbers not counting gas and other things that might be needed.
If you're making 50000 this is a lot for one game. It would really get expensive for more games.
For me the cost here doesn't bother me but when I look down on the field and see players making 400,000 or more it makes me question whether i want to be a part of it.

But lower deck and box seats cost more than other not as desirable locations. For example, a $250 lower deck ticket will go up $25 and a $50 nose bleed ticket $5. So the average ticket price will increase 4.5%. Not real sure the need for stating it that way. Just say, they're upping the price of all tickets by 10%.

The 4.5% is for the price of a ticket. The 10% is a talent fee added after. The talent fee is like the credit card fee at restaurant, and the 4.5% is them raising the prices on the menu. in total 14.5% increase in ticket prices.

You're missing the overall. UT holds around 20,000 more than the valley on a sell-out. What about the Big House? More tickets = More money. Rich continue to get richer.
