1. USuC is the "Graveyard of coaches", no head coach has ever left there and gone on to head another college team. So OBS is doomed to be remembered as a coot.
2. Note that Granny does everything he can to associate himself with ND and separate himself from USuC.

Your points are very accurate, and they convey my thoughts, as well. I doubt even a jerk like spurlid will want anybody to know he was a coach at usuc.

Coach Joe Morrison actually did make Columbia the "graveyard for coaches". 
I really enjoyed it when Morrison and Ford were coaching against each other and wish that could have continued for many more years.
