Weekly TNet Weight Loss Challenge check-in

Doing early this week due to a visit to see my mom who turned 96 this week (Probably will be gaining weight at Olive Garden when normally posting. Not much progress this week (as you can see why^^^^) down from 200 to 193.6 last night. That is about where I seem to level off and never go lower so we shall see as the next couple of weeks will actually start my personal challenge based on past history. How about you guys.... and gal.

The easier solution is to buy bigger clothes. They make some HUGE sizes now. The last shirt I bought can also be used as a bedsheet.

I’m not part of the challenge but I did lose 2 pounds this week. Probably all due to walking the golf course Wednesday and drinking a little less beer last weekend. That could all be reversed today….

I just saw this thread for the first time, but thought that I would share that I started a weight loss program on February 25th and have lost 53 pounds to date. Gone from 36% body fat to 17.1%. My Blood pressure has gone from Hypertension Stage 1 to Normal. My regiment has been the following:

1. Log everything I eat in My Fitness Pal app. It's free and I stay below 1,550 calories per day.

2. I use Intermittent Fasting, which is incredible. The best explanation of what IF does for you is explained in a YouTube group by Gravity Transformation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xU54nPjy8qY

3. I also go to F45 most days.

This really is the best way - IF.

I do OMAD - one meal a day, a version of IF - on carnivore, and it is working great for me. I never get hungry with carnivore, so doing OMAD is no problem. And meal prep is really simple - 2lbs. of steak once a day. Have used ribeye and NY strip from Costco, which cost $10-12 a lb. But recently getting picanha there for $7 a lb., and really enjoying that.

I've also found that it's not difficult at all on carnivore to skip one day a week of eating, giving me a 48 hour fast once a week. This is apparently really good for your health.

There are lots of ways to successfully lose weight. This is what is working for me.

I just broke the 190 barrier!!!

Coming in 'hot off the scale' at a svelte 189 just now. Down 6 lbs from starting this challenge at 195.

Began 2024 at 214...so -25 overall for the year.

I have not been a part of the challenge, but, on my last Cardiology visit (Feb.) I weighed an obese 250 lbs!! I am 5'9"!!
Since the visit, I have portioned my meals, cut out fast food and any other junk, and exercise regularly
on our elliptical. Two days ago I checked in at 236.8 lbs! Slow progress, but the right direction!!

I did not take the weight loss serious for the first couple months, but after seeing a few pounds shed, have become inspired!!

Down from 202 to 195.4 weighing a couple minutes ago. Think I was 197.4 last week, can't find my response to your post then. Can possibly sweat some more off if able to add a few more 18 holes the next several weeks.

I love the Olive Garden! I held steady at 205 this week, so no progress for me, but will redouble my efforts. Now pass the breadsticks buddy. 😗

3 pounds total down to 180 (170 to 172 goal). 1 pound the first week and 2 the second. No drastic changes because I was already eating pretty healthy. Just cut out or down on extra unnecessary snacks, but still tempting to eat "just one" more.
