That you can't just look these things on paper. If you slapped Kentucky's logo on Alabama's helmet, would you say that team is better than us?.
The truth is there's not one dominating team this year and there is a handful of teams. I mean like 20 to 30 that could beat anyone on any given day.
Let's just let the weekend play out. How we doing in South Carolina and we'll probably answer our questions. In reality, they are two plays away from being first in the SEC right now.... Which I think is actually more of an indictment of how average the teams are in the SEC compared to previous years. There is not one dominating or even two teams head and shoulders above everyone else.

Miami has been living on the edge a number of times this season. If they lose to SMU and we beat SC, I do think we would get in over them.

I've seen them both play. Oregon is the best team but last week they showed they can have a bad night. Texas is way overrated imo. A&M will beat them Saturday. Idk why you people act like we suck. We had a bad game against Louisville. We won close games on the road that as you have seen the top teams have been losing those types of games. Everybody is acting like all these top teams are so great and the acc teams we play as horrible that's just not the case if you actually watched college football this season you would know.

I don't think we are a playoff team as we haven't beaten a team with a soul. Is there a possibility of us getting in even if we don't make the ACC, sure. Of course we have to beat the Coots. But if Bama wins this weekend against Auburn, they are putting them in over us. No doubt about it. We would need a little bit more chaos for us to get in IMHO.
I think the most puzzling thing about the CFP rankings is Penn State and Indiana. Neither team has beaten a quality team, but yet they are ranked so high. Nobody believes Penn State is the 4th best team in the country. In my opinion Indiana should fall out of the rankings. But they probably won't.
